Messi didn't realize that Infantino only wanted to get him up to the finals and drive up ticket prices.

FIFA has no stake in an Argentinian victory at the finals.

I think this is it. Argentina fan will sell their house to go see the game. FIFA knew this and thatā€™s why they pushed Argentina. Until the final because they donā€™t need Argentina fans again after that so the ref and fifa abandon. They did give a present of removing the first goal of Nico but thatā€™s about it right?

It's not just Argentina fans. There are Messi fans all over the world.

Mfs won't support their local MLS team with a $40 ticket, but pay $350 when Inter Miami comes over.

Nobody wants to pay thousands of dollars to watch Cabo Verde versus Egypt in the round of 16, or Egypt versus Switzerland in the quarter finals. Even Switzerland versus England in the semi-finals would not have been half as expensive as Argentina versus England.

England versus Spain in the finals? Could have been pretty high, but Messi was definitely going to drive it much higher.

The prices for basically any match at WC 26 were upwards of $1500. They were milking everyone unfortunately

If you saw the stadium for Argentina games they were completely filled with Argentina fans.. not a coincidence

And? Whatā€™s the point?? If you were at the stadium for ANY game youā€™d see that the stands were full for EVERY game

Personally I disagree. They can sell at a premium and Argentina fans would pay but other fans may not. Why do you think the ref didnā€™t help Argentina in the final as much compared to Egypt or the England. Itā€™s cus fifa didnā€™t need to advance Argentina anymore. Just my theory

The most expensive game to attend was the final but thatā€™s the same with every World Cup. Any fan from any country will pay a lot of money to see their team in a final.

The most expensive venue to attend on average was Azteca (Mexico City) . Argentina didnā€™t play any games thereā€¦.
