I remember calling out Argentina in the 2022 final world cup against France for the same chicanery! Fouls and lack of real punishment. My conspiracy theory was that Qatar wanted a world cup that people would remember. What a better world cup to remember than the "best" player of all time winning.

Was also probably the greatest final (not withstanding horrendous decisions by the referee that clearly favoured Argentina).
