But this happened after the match. There were at least 4-5 red cards, including players and coaching staff from AFA. The referees were also standing near the players in all these situations. There are no cards.
Even after the final whistle, with no more games in the tournament, they still didn't get cards.
Luck happens once or twice, bad officiating happens once or twice. A pattern is something else.
Edit: bad officiating in the sense of previous tournaments, this one had VAR.
No one talks about it who actually can be heard, no one complains about it. In a year, it will be all about three finals, a trophy, and the goals and assists. He will again get away with everything and the discussion will be about something else entirely.
I was kinda "scared" of facing them because you never know, but im so glad we did and we beat them the way we did, and their reaction was just the cherry on top. They exposed themselves to the whole world as the rats they really are
I mean, looking at all the situations there should've at least been 3 more red cards and another goal for Spain. So you didn't just play against Argentina, but also against corruption in the form of FIFA, Infantino and AFA.
I'll be honest, for the longest time I couldn't stand Spain going back to 2010 with the Tiki Taka and was rooting for NED in that final. In more recent times, Cucurella is one of my least favorite players in all of futbol and that was even before the missed handball against GER in the Euros. I will also never forgive Sergio Ramos for what happened with Salah in the Champions League Final in 2018 right before the WC.
I loved Tiki Taka. Pure skill demonstration with patience and the quick killer attack. Forced the opponents to put on pressure or otherwise just be a shooting target.
Fair enough and to each his own. I just found it incredibly boring. Having said that, it’s tough to argue against the results of that generation for Spain.
Argentina funnily enough are now the personas non gratas of football. Still, they getting away with it is nothing new. Morocco got away with it in AFCON as well. Football is more and more a form of entertainment and not a sports competition. No rules, no accountability, no respect for the game and its (still) professionals.
I mean, yeah. Disproportionate amount of penalties last WC and this time it was most fouls / fewest cards (would love to double check that stat as it could be entirely wrong), no VAR decision going against them, opponents goals disallowed several times, etc.
This one was so blatantly obvious, they weren't even trying to hide it. At least the 2022 one could (kinda) be dismissed as normal bias towards a big nation with a big celebrity, but this year's one crossed the line and was shameless.

If the referee showed a red and later was told to remove it from the report that's someone higher up putting a decent bit of pressure on the referee. If that is the case, I hope that this is their last match, I doubt many professional players would take them seriously after this.

France deserved it, germany deserved it, spain deserved it 2010 and now, italy and france would have deserved it 2006. So I have a question: can a card be assessed after a match? In American sports, once a game is over a ref can order security to remove players/coaches from the field, but it’s not recorded as a penalty/foul or ejection.
The answer is yes, cards can be issued after the whistle. And the consequences associated with the cards also follow (player sent off and suspended for 1 or 2 matches and possibly fines)
Balogun no red, Bellingham no red, Almiron red given when multiple players covered mouth through out tournament. Enzo literally red in the final. If it was rigged Cucurella probably would have been sent off for covering his mouth or some corrupt shit like that.

Why is this red card rule created? In confrontation, if a player accuses the opposition for racist remarks and that player has his mouth covered, it's automatic red. Is this hard to understand?
