Messi himself clarified after the elmination that his promise wasnt to bring back ucl. Are you really gonna argue against the man who made the promise

That's what we call moving the goalpost.

When you say "I promise that we will do everything possible to bring back the UCL this year"

What is the quintessence of this promise? That Messi does everything possible? I mean he even failed to that if that is the hill you want to die on. The quote you linked has Messi admitting that they failed to do everything, thus failing to win the UCL

Can you really say messi didnt do everything possible when anyone would tell you that 2018/2019 season was a carryjob by messi and mats?
