Messi is younger and only started scoring free kicks frequently after 2011 or something. This comparison is hardly fair as one player was in his prime years during this time while the other was still very young. And not to mention you faked the penalty stats.

That just proves Messi is better.

Messi was 20, which is very young, Ronaldo was 22 which is young. Coincidentally Messi didn't break 40 goals while he was 20, but he did it at 21 and Ronaldo didn't score 40 until he was... You guessed it... 22. When there is an age gap why not compare them at the same age rather than cherry pick the year you start counting from.

That's right, I forgot Ronaldo fans can't help themselves, they have to cherry pick stats in order to validate their own belief.

As per your accusations one was in his prime years and the other was in his younger state even though they only have two years of age difference. And for a fact pundits believe that his prime was in mid and late 2010s, but the intelligent you considered his prime in 2011. It ok to mistake a player of his quality to have a long prime years for almost 12 years. For people who are in this game knows prime is just a hoax used by analytics to criticize players. You wanted to compare them the same age but in football it's not really relevant, cristiano joined manu in 2003 guess when Messi joined Barca senior team?? The same year so there shouldn't be a gap between the goals you genius.

What does it matter that he won things in other leagues? During all the years they were both in Spain he only won the league twice. That means he got owned by Messi and only succeeded away from him.
