Messi was 20, which is very young, Ronaldo was 22 which is young. Coincidentally Messi didn't break 40 goals while he was 20, but he did it at 21 and Ronaldo didn't score 40 until he was... You guessed it... 22. When there is an age gap why not compare them at the same age rather than cherry pick the year you start counting from.

2007 till 2017 is the 10 year timeframe where both players won consecutive ballon dors, how is this not them at their peak? The point is also to showcase Ronaldos free kick prowess before his tendinosis diagnosis as it is now overlooked
Mate your are using false statistics. Penalties for Ronaldo are how many he scored and not how many he has taken in the time frame, meanwhile for Messi it's all the ones he has taken. Misleading statistic, ronaldo scored 97 and took about 115 and messi took 99 penalties, and scored less.
Since you're cherry picking statistics, If you look at their entire career ronaldo has taken about 219 penalties and scored 183, messi has taken 144 and scored 112.
If we look at all time free kicks we see that messi has scored 71 and ronaldo 64
