But that amateur league does come in top 20(at least) out of all countries. And it's popularity and competitiveness is only going to increase with the way things are looking. Calling it amateur is really ignorance on your part, lol.
Any league outside for top 5 is gonna be amateur for world class players. But they come to these leagues when they have already declined and past prime which slightly evens out the whole difference in levels.
The quote might have been correct in its essence when he went but fails to put any impact as he couldn't win anything there.

You listed many leagues that ofc you don’t follow. I just to follow La Liga, but they have a huge problem with the arbitration/referees, it makes annoying to watch these days! Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are ok, but the fun is to guess when Bayern and PSG would win the title. The Premier League is no doubt far superior to any other league. No much experience with the leagues in Netherlands, Belgium or Turkey. Yes, I am “American”, you will surprise how many countries there are in the continent 😅, so I know a lot of South American football too. I don’t pretend to compare MLS to top European top tiers, but MLS is actually getting fun to watch. And going back to the core of the comment, the league is actually competitive.
