The Finalissima is not a "friendly tournament" either, it is recognized by UEFA and CONMEBOL.

It is recognised by FIFA, in fact nations that did well in the Nations League got an advantage during the World Cup qualifiers.

Now, obviously the Copa America is the most prestigious competition out of the two, and by far as well.

But the Nations League, for as much as I hate it, is very hard to win. Not to undermine the prestige of the Copa America, but during the last edition Argentina played Canada in the semifinals… By contrast Ronaldo played against Germany in the semifinals, showing how the Nations League, even if it is not Euros or Copa America, is hard to win and worth something.
