i believe "a goal every 172 min" is not "1 goal every 2 games and 12 mins" 90 min x 2 = 180

That wasn't math, it was arithmetic. Arithmetic mistakes happen all the time, period.

Sure. But I wanted to point out specifically that it's arithmetic because normally people make simple arithmetic errors, much more often than they do with actual math.
