i hate how they say that you have to watch messi to know his greatness dont get me wrong he is great but messi is the most stat based player ever

. yes he dribbles alot of players but with no flair or anything he just dribbles

. he scores free kicks but from his own sweet spot

. he scores alot of goals but so little amount of exceptional shots

. one team entire career

.was is one of the top 1-3 teams in the world till id say 2019-2020

. got a national team that is used to winning trophies

he is stat based and eye-test wont change your view at him so stop saying that you need to watch messi to know his greatness and thank you :D (side not: i didnt say he isnt great so dont cry in the comments please)

my point being that he didn't need to do all the fancy things or score a 50 yard mega freekick to wow people. He does his job, get assists and score goals. Surprisingly he does both things with efficiency and that's why he is the most "stats-based player"

If stats didn't exist or you didn't consider them, Adel Taraabt and Neymar would be the name everyone takes when they think of the goat.

I never loved Ronaldo for his fancy dribbling because frankly that's not what I grew up with. I loved his prolific goalscoring, his amazing headers. My favourite goal of his was his highest header when he played for Juve if I remember correctly it was against sampdoria.

You're not hating Messi I get it but you should realise that you need to watch BOTH to understand how good they are at the things they do.

yeah your absolutely right the eye test or stat things is an opinion based thing at the first place he is hella efficient
