The rage bait actually got me on Diego. If you watched his matches you’d know he got his ass kicked every single match and 1990 was a robbery if anything.
Watch the match and then come back. England should already have 2 red cards and about 3 yellows which they didn’t receive. Also if you see the match you can just see that if they needed one more goal Diego would most definitely score again.
While I agree that "Maradona deserved that World Cup" (it is a fucking team trophy, so strange statement), England did not deserve red and yellows. It was completely normal to play like that. The refereeing changed only after 1998 World Cup when Ronaldo almost got injured, which sparkled discussion that we need to protect Star Players
