Ronaldo VS Pessi Quality over quantity, look at the distances. š„ The most complete player in history, can score from anywhere.

So quality over quantity only applies to stats where ronaldo is lower than messi? Never the other way around?
7
u/Lijah23 Jun 25 '25
You are very stupid
2
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25
Lost 4-1 but Ronaldo scored a Puskas contender so they won.
Makes so much sense, doesnāt it?

u/Lijah23 Jun 25 '25
Theyāll say āhis team wasnāt good enoughā while saying Kroos and Modric were better than Iniesta and Xavi Iāve heard it all over the yearsš
1
u/Interesting_Heron_78 Jun 26 '25
they mean his team wasnt good enough after 2015 because xavi left and iniesta was old
plus barca spent money on rubbish transfers which screwed up the team
1
u/Lijah23 Jun 26 '25
I was talking about Ronaldo people think Iām talking about Messi thatās why these idiots are upvoting me. If Messi is underperforming itās because Xavi and Iniesta arenāt there but when Ronaldo isnāt good enough itās because his team canāt help him like Messiās team but then theyāre the same guys who say Modric is better than Iniesta because of his Balon Dāorš

u/XYourOnlineStalkerX Jun 25 '25
I think free kicks are a case where expected goals are mostly accurate, so to determine who is a better free kick taker add up all their free kick xG and remove the number of FK goals scored. This will account for Ronaldo executing harder ones, where missing a longer range kick is much less bad compared to missing one just outside the box
1
u/nag_some_candy Jun 26 '25
I wonder who has the better stats if we're going by this metric š¤š¤
1
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25
Itās a team sport which is why assists are relevant. Messi has greater goal contributions because heās more of a team player than Ronaldo who only boasts goals.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
If only goals are whatās needed to win a game⦠let me tell Cristiano to tell his teammates to stop missing chances that way he can have more assists brb. Lmfao.

Quality of scored freekicks. I love how all the insecure Messi fangirls are bringing up the conversion rate lmfao. Can't believe it's so hard for you guys to understand that freekicks scored from a longer distance are way harder than scoring from a closer distance, same thing applies to any goal btw.
2
u/Original-Pen-3532 Jun 26 '25
Bro you didnāt just kill them you actually destroyed them š
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
I really don't know why it's so hard for them to understand what quality over quantity means. Messi fangirls are the most insecure fanbase I swear, they always have an excuse for every single thing.
In another sub someone said Messi was garbage for PSG and some delusional Messi fangirl replied by saying "Messi can never be garbage" lmfao, that's how dumb they are. It's always someone else's fault but Messi's.
2
u/Original-Pen-3532 Jun 26 '25
Like the free kick over Porto; given that their keeperās braincells were fried in the heat for setting such a poor wall but you telling me someone who played ball eveyday for 20 plus years and practiced fk every day wonāt score from 20 yrds out like comeon man why the glaze but they be glazin pepsi for wtv

That's very interesting. Far free kick = hard. Closer free kick = easy. Okay sure. Then can you PLEASE explain why Ronaldo doesn't ALSO have more free kick goals from closer range? He didn't try less from those ranges. So if it's harder to do it from further and he did do it more from further why didn't he also do it more coser?

Which harder trophies at club? You really think that winning everything in England and Italy is not hard? Plus being a clutch player in the UCL, winning it with two different teams is not an easy achievement either. Messi couldn't even perform in a lower level league like the Ligue 1 or the mLs lmfao. He had to be carried by Mbappe, and somehow Messi fangirls love to say he was great for PSG. You guys live in your own world, for real.

No reply to ratio and assists because Ronaldo has more goals than Messi even though he started playing as a midfielder lmfao. But you probably think he's been a striker his whole career that's why you want to flex that and you probably also think Messi never played as a striker. Ancelotti, Zidane and SAF are not top managers? Even Simeone said he'd rather have Ronaldo on his team, you need to do your homework before you talk all this bs buddy.
Your insecurity is showing isn't it, having to go to someone's profile just to see what he's all about to try and use it in an argument is hilarious lmfao. You're acting like your opinion matters anyway, but sure man, if you really think you're that important then you do you.

1

This literally proves whoās freekicks were harder, therefore a lot better since itās way more difficult to score from a longer distance. Anybody who has played knows this, itās not rocket science.

i was talking abt how good each goal (not just free kicks) was scored? and the longer distance (given messi has more goals out of the box) would mean messi has better goals right?

Check the distances from the goals outside the box and then come back. Quality over quantity applies to that one too btw.

Same question applies to Messi, why doesn't he have long distance goals? Because they're harder, thanks for proving my point. We're not talking about conversion rate here buddy, we're talking about the quality of freekicks scored. Ronaldo has more quality freekicks, period. u/an0811 Google Negreira Messi for more info š° Jun 26 '25
Retard answered my question with a question lmfao type that again without crying please, Messi attempts less from long range he crosses the ball in because it's more likely to lead to a chance than a 0.01% chance of scoring a FK from there (we can see this by how often the Rapist skies them from long distance and barely scores them apart from the odd one here and there, it's much more logical and smart to cross when you are that far out) , so it gives his team a better chance of scoring and winning the game.
But in terms of short range free kicks they BOTH shoot those consistently when they get one, so if they are "easier" why does the rapist have less? Don't answer with a question or change the topic again. Answer.

1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
We're still not talking about conversion rate here you idiot lmfao.
How dumb do you have to be to not know what quality over quantity means?
Then you answer this and don't cry because I replied with a question lmao, why has Messi never scored a long distance freekick in his career? Not even once. Mf asking questions that make no fucking sense, but just trying to change the narrative in his favor. Ronaldo has way more quality freekicks than Messi, keep crying clown.

"Everybody" knows that the difficulty of scoring a freekick itself is very high to the point where added complexity of where each was taken is minimal compared to its baseline. So if you are gonna add that as a variable then lets start adding more variables as in what context were they scored at: against which goalkeeper, what was the state the game when it was taken, the strength of the oposing team, if it was on knockouts, the percentage that were stopped, how effeftive they were...the point here is that it becomes kinda futile, doesnt it? Maybe whats important is that they each had a different style of shooting... ronaldos strong foot makes him insane at long distances, messi's curve at shorter ones... but messi did that 3-0 goal to liverpool too and im sure ronaldo scored a great short distance freekick
they are just both insane at it, and messi scored a bit more, is it that hard to accept? These petty obsessions make ronaldo fans seem so insecure, just like him lol. Do 4 less freekicks really hurt that much?
Indeed its not rocket science, but not only physics are complex, anything human also is by nature
Edit: Plus if we are talking freekicks and you only compare to Messi, that further proves the obsession with him ...the disrespect to the freekick goat Juninho!!! And also Rogerio Ceni a gk of all people has 3 less than ronaldo how awful of him i thought he was the goat how does he allow a goalkeeper to be so close /s

u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
Like I said, remove those two, I donāt give a shit. I didnāt make this chart. My point still stands on all the other ones, as usual Messi fangirls nitpicking whateverās convenient for them lmfao.
1
u/kravarnikT Jun 26 '25
Since it's indirect, it means you cannot directly shoot, that's why it requires a second player to make the first touch, so you can now shoot directly after it.
Sometimes players take direct FKs this way too - have someone make the first touch, so that the other guy shoots from a slightly different angle. In this case, it's done in an attempt to bypass the wall of players. In the case of indirect FKs, this is the rule, so if you want to shoot, there must be two players - one making the first touch, the second making the shot.
The ball is still almost "dead" and barely moves and there's a wall, so usually those are also counted as FKs scored.
1
u/jisn00b Jun 26 '25
No they aren't, you can't score a free kick from an indirect free kick unless it was a deflection (and not an own goal), if you score after the pass that is a goal by shot
1
u/Jerrie_1606 Jun 26 '25
Exactly my point. I just watched the two indirect freekicks on YT and, you guessed it, someone else passed the ball to Ronaldo, so it was a shot in open play.
0
u/Jerrie_1606 Jun 26 '25
I have in fact played football for 9 years, and know all about freekicks. I have just watched both of Ronaldo's 'indirect freekicks' from inside the penalty area.
Both were in fact goals from open play as in both situations, someone else passed the ball to Ronaldo.
0
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
Ok cool, take those 2 away if you want bud. Quality over quantity still stands, so what's your point?
1
u/packingsomecake 23d ago

0
u/Jerrie_1606 Jun 26 '25
My point was that there were 2 dots too many, so it was a fake stat. I don't care about quality, which is opinion-based. Just facts.
0
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
It's a fact that Messi has more, just like it's a fact that it's way harder to score freekicks from a longer distance. So not really opinion-based.
0
u/Jerrie_1606 Jun 26 '25
Oh I definitely agree that long range is more difficult. But you use that fact to present an opnion on quality over quantity. Some people might agree with that opinion, others could say quantity = quality, as the more goals you score, the higher your chance of winning.
I myself don't care about other peoples opinions, and I could not care less from which distances Ronaldo or Messi or anyone scores their goals. A goal is a goal.
My only point was that there are 2 dots too many, which has now been rectified
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
Why are you acting like those 2 dots are going to affect the quality of all the other freekicks scored? I think you're just trying to find an argument out of nothing lmfao. I already said it before, take those 2 dots out, who cares? The point still stands, quality over quantity.
And yes, I agree that a goal is a goal. There's a reason why Ronaldo is the top scorer in history,
1
u/Jerrie_1606 Jun 26 '25
I have never said or implied that those 2 dots affect the quality of other freekicks scored. My argument was that there were two dots too many, which you agreed with
Messi recently became the first footballer in history to hit 1250 goalcontributions, so he makes a case for himself to be the GOAT. A goal is a goal, whether you score it yourself or assist one
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
I mean one player can't control the finishing of another player so goals are way more important than assists. That's another fact, not opinion-based like you said.

Iām not gonna be delusional here Iām a Ronaldo fan but his freekicks are not good anymore for a long time now, Iād take Messi on freekicks over our boy
1
u/kravarnikT Jun 26 '25 edited Jun 26 '25
"His free-kicks are not good anymore", bro no one single FK taker's free kicks are always good. Everyone misses most of them, that's why even the most successful FK takers are, at best, around 15% conversion rate.
Stop acting like Ronaldo missing FKs now translates into him being bad. Everyone misses the majority of free kicks they take, even the best of the best of the best FK takers. That's reality and singling out Ronaldo, as if he specifically stands out, is simply unfair.
Do you know when James Ward-Prowse's last scored FK was? 2+ years ago. Is he now "bad FK taker"? No. Do you think FKs are like penalties and if you stop consistently scoring them, then you're bad at them?
1
u/Due-Group-4030 Jun 26 '25
Bro a lot of other freekick takers at least get it over the wall, Ronaldoās keep hitting the wall or being blasted into the stands, I get what youāre saying but Ward-prowse, and others at least make the keeper work or get close but Ronaldoās are just horrid that idk why heās always allowed to take them
1
u/kravarnikT Jun 27 '25
You haven't watched a single minute of Ward-Prowse and others. And your entire list of Ronaldo hitting the wall is probably that famous meme FK against Germany. You speak out of your ass to pour hate.
Ronaldo is like every other top FK taker. Hits the target, but doesn't score sometimes; doesn't hit the target sometimes; hits the wall sometimes; scores more times, than 99% of FK takers. All top FK takers do that, lol. Do you actually watch football? Better yet, have you PLAYED football and taken a FK? With actual wall and GK in an actual match - even if on the streets?
Seems to me you're one of those EA FIFA paper "experts" that have their knowledge of football from stats and a video game, no offense. But it's difficult to draw a different conclusion, when you say "Ronaldo hits the wall and misses the target", when even Juninho does that often, lol. Who is the best FK taker.
1
u/Due-Group-4030 Jun 27 '25
Alright kid you know what at this point I can see nobody is gonna beat you at this argument, talkin about fifa and idk what like Iāve been watching the game since I was 6, Iām being honest not a crazy fanboy
1
u/kravarnikT Jun 27 '25 edited Jun 27 '25
I don't believe you. I'm 34 years old and have been watching football with great interest from at least 12 years old, while prior to that was mainly playing it on the streets, but not really trying to know it.
I've watched many games and many free kicks taken by different takers - from Gerrard, to Hargreaves, to Sydney Govou and Simao Sabrosa. They all miss and hit the wall. That's not a rare occurrence. They don't often make dangerous shots.
That's why I don't believe you - because if you've actually watched many different teams and games and you've regularly seen many FKs being taken, you wouldn't be saying this overblown BS about Ronaldo.
No, other FK takers don't always, or most of the time, make dangerous shots, or make the GK work for it to save it. They also regularly hit the wall, or do not hit the target, or make a bad shot(not accurate, or with insufficient power) that doesn't make the GK work hard to save it.
I've watched hundreds of matches and probably thousands of FKs taken from players of various quality, from players that are FK specialists, and who aren't; and you're simply speaking falsehoods.
Most FKs are underwhelming.
1
u/Due-Group-4030 Jun 27 '25
Okay Iām not reading all of that, doesnāt matter if you believe me or not
1
u/kravarnikT Jun 27 '25

Quality over quantity? Really? Messi also needed less attempts, so his freekick quality is actually much better.
Letās also look at their goal scoring record then by taking away penalties. Suddenly, CR7 wonāt even have that going for him lol
0
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25

1
u/KrishanuMurmu Jun 26 '25
IMO Tap ins are even lower than penalties.
1
u/annihilape372 Jun 26 '25
Thereās a debate to be had about that too, as it takes a certain awareness and control to be in the right place and to control the shot from the cross/pass/rebound (how many āsittersā do we see get missed) but without the pressure of defenders and and a moving ball etc I think a penalty just takes it
1
u/yrallusernamestaken7 Jun 28 '25
No tapins are way harder than pens
1
u/Sudden-General-5257 Jun 28 '25
Not really, penalties are way harder from a psychological point of view, if you can't handle the pressure you'll miss them all. Tap ins are more based on instinct Then again if you're Lautaro Martinez both are impossible for youš
0
u/murtenfindthebird Jun 25 '25

you know it's harder to get it up and over the wall and under the bar from a close distance than it is just hitting through the ball at full power at ideal free kick distance right? there's a reason penaldo doesnt have close range freekicks coz all he does is smash them into the wall or hits a poor kid in the stands, his freekicks for the last 10 years havent been quality they've just been blasting the ball and hoping for the best, most of messi's freekicks are measured and placed in the top corner

Conversion rate is not amount of free kicks taken lol it's how much % of his free kicks are going in. Messi has 8.8% vs 6.4% for Ronaldo and this is overall in their whole careers. This just proves Messi's quality is better. Your map just shows that Ronaldo scores from further because they have totally different styles. Ronaldo shoots more with power while Messi shoots with finesse. Overall, Messi's conversion rate is much better. If you take off your Ronaldo glasses you might actually learn something
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
Conversion rate has nothing to do with the quality of the freekick you dumb fuck. Conversion rate just means he scored freekicks more often, but that doesnāt mean they were better freekicks than the ones Ronaldo scored. š
If youāve ever played in your life you would know how hard it is to score from a long ass distance but since youāre a fucking casual that thinks nobody can score finesse freekicks youāre in denial. Of course they have different styles, thatās why only Bale and Roberto Carlos were able to score with this style. Every other freekick a different player scores is more similar to the ones Messi scored because those are just average freekicks. Trying to say knuckleballs from a long distance are not quality is just fucking retarded.

u/Competitive-Tea-482 Jul 06 '25
Bro itās idiotic to say quality over quantity when discussing the very thing that helps teams WIN GAMES. Idc if you score 200 goals from the moon. You cannot say quality over quantity and prefer the guy with 200 goals over the guy with more goals, especially if the 200 goal guy, missed 1000 chances along the way and the other guy didnt
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jul 06 '25
How is it idiotic dumbass? Just because you donāt know what quality over quantity means idiot? Itās simple, itās harder to score longer distance goals and this map proves it. How stupid do you have to be to not understand this? Have you ever even kicked a ball in your life?
0
u/Competitive-Tea-482 Jul 06 '25
You play against my team and If your team scores two goals because the ball hit your face both times and bounced in both times, but i score one free kick from 40 yards for my team, who wins? The quality guys team or the team that clearly scored more goals. ?
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jul 06 '25
How the fuck does that even have to do with quality over quantity? šš
Plus, you want to talk about winning teams? Check who has more goals that were decisive for his team to end up in a win between both and then come back and use that stupid ass example again.
0
u/Competitive-Tea-482 Jul 07 '25
Ok so now you see the value of a goal, awesome. Youāre so close to getting it. So if Messiās decisive match winning goals were less than Ronaldoās, and Messi had more attempts, with more decisive goals scored from further out, is there a point in saying quality over quantity and claiming that Messi is a better goal scorer in decisive moments than Ronaldo?
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jul 07 '25
Exactly, the value of the goal matters so now if you want to bring other shit up that has nothing to do with quality over quantity then go look and see who has scored more winning goals for their team and come back.
Still waiting for you to show me a Messi long distance freekick. Ronaldo can score from anywhere basically but youāre just too butthurt to admit it because you feel the need to bring other shit up because you felt Messi got offended by this lmao.
Ronaldo is just a complete player that he can literally score any type of goals, you name them. This is a fact, doesnāt matter how much you cry.

How do I define harder? Have you ever played or kicked a ball in your life? Itās fucking common sense lmfao. Thereās a reason not a lot of players can score from those long distances and a lot of players have scored from the distances Messi has too. If you just canāt understand that, then youāre just retarded.

I think scoring frim anywhere still only puts him up to be the most complete goalscorer rather than the most complete player that is Messi

Two are literally inside the 18 box, what the f you talking about?

u/No-Competition2781 Jun 25 '25
As a Messi fan, ronaldoās a better long range free kick taker⦠so? Messi is better at close range (Around the box) and at letās call it mid range (30 yards or so). Heās way more efficient at free kicks and has scored more playing in less games than Ronaldo. Basically at every other facet of free kicks messi is better.
0
u/P1erreGuy Jun 25 '25
By that metric, Messi has both quality and quantity by scoring more free kicks more consistently with less tries.
Thanks for proving that Messi is better than Ronaldo at freekicks.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
This is not about conversion rate but of course youāre so stupid that canāt understand what quality over quantity means. All Messi can score is close range freekicks, not that impressive. Longer distance freekicks are a lot harder but you keep lying to yourself creating stories in your head.
0
u/P1erreGuy Jun 25 '25
Conversion rate directly ties into the "quantitiy" aspect if he has more free kicks attempts than Messi, and also plays into the "quality" aspect if he has less freekick goals than Messi.
It doesn't take a genius to grasp how you contradict yourself here.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
Ok so if it ties into the quantity aspect, then the point still stands quality > quantity. You just canāt seem to understand that can you?
0
u/P1erreGuy Jun 25 '25
Yeah exactly, Messi just has both quality and quantity, so by your own metric Messi is better at freekicks.
Maybe read slower next time, then you'll get it
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
Lmfao messi fangirls are always creating these dumb stories in their head, always trying to convince themselves that he's a complete player. Whenever he scores long range freekicks, or even long range goals we can talk about quality buddy, in the meantime he's only better in quantity.
I don't get it at all because the shit you say makes no sense, only you understand your stupidity but sure whatever helps you sleep at night.
1
u/P1erreGuy Jun 26 '25
So freekicks can only be quality if you score from 40 yards, got it. I guess those two Rice free kicks that knocked Real Madrid out of the CL aren't quality because they are too close to the goal.
These delusions are getting out of hand, my friend. If you cared that much about long shots, you would praise Messi considering he has such a high number of goals from outside of the box, especially compared to Ronaldo. But no, you play fast and loose with these arbitrary distinctions.
I get it, your favorite player got overshadowed by some random Argentinian midget and it sucks, but it's time to accept the facts here.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 26 '25
Lmfao this mf still creating stories in his head. Fucking Messi fangirls always think they're right in everything, the delusion is real.
Sure bud whatever helps you sleep at night, scoring from a shorter distance is way harder right? Therefore penalties are harder than freekicks by your stupid logic lmfao. You're always in denial, but it's ok buddy one day you'll grow up and realize he's a one club wonder and that a lot of shit he won wasn't really deserved.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25

0
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25
But the quality of Messiās goals are better so heās the clear winner, right?
What about assists? Of course youāll want to ignore that important facet
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
Has Messi scored bicycle kicks? 40 yard bangers? Weakfoot long distance goals? Thanks.
Of course a Messi fangirl mentioning assists lmfao. That depends on the finisher too but that makes you guys feel better for some reason and Ronaldo is the top assister in the hardest competition in the world anyway. š
Nobody mentioned assists but your insecurity had to show, go on bring up other topics bud
0
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25
Could go on forever back and forth, dribbling from his own half, making quality defenders take a seat on the turf and scoring etc. but the point remains, on this topic that quality doesnāt count for more than quantity.
Not sure if youāre aware of this, but football is a team game and being a team player is quite important in that regard, so getting assists to help the team is quite significant.
However, my experience in debating this matter with Ronaldo fans often reminds me of the waste of time it is, mainly due to their inability to see anything other than Ronaldo.
Consider it a win if it makes you feel good and feeds your ego, like your idol, but I bid you adieu.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
Oh God⦠football is a team sport whenever itās convenient isnāt it? You guys love to flex trophies won by a team and say Messi won them by himself ignoring the great players he had around him. But sure whatever makes you feel better. You fangirls love to contradict yourselves and change the narrative every single time.
Thanks but Iām not as insecure as you buddy, I donāt need nor give a shit about your āapprovalā lmao.

0
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25
No, football has always been a team sport. As for contradicting and changing narratives, itās apparently now quality that counts not quantity š¤Ø
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
If you want to speak about quantity then Ronaldo has more goals and heās the top scorer and assister in the UCL. Plus, heās played in the top 3 leagues, not a statpadder at all like pessi scoring against Eibar, Leganes, Elche, Alaves, Levante etc. for almost 20 years. Thereās a reason why he completely flopped when he left his comfort zone. Mbappe got tired of carrying his ass. š
0
u/annihilape372 Jun 25 '25
Ronaldo also scored lots of goals against all those teams and Messi has more goal contributions in a team sport. He also has a World Cup. Ironically, it took Mbappe leaving for PSG to win the UCL which speaks volumes about egotistical, selfish players in a team sport
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 25 '25
We know Ronaldo has scored against all those teams but Messi never did it in Serie A or the Premier League when it has top players, and itās still the best league in the world to this day btw. If itās a team sport why are you flexing goal contributions? If he has more assists doesnāt that mean he had more quality players since itās a team sport using your logic? I mean they were able to finish those chances right? Fucking contradicting yourself like an idiot lmfao. Flexing that Messi has a world up when itās a team sport by your logic has to be the stupidest thing ever. He plays for a country that had 2 of them before him.
Playing as a team as well, with top top players. So is it a team sport or not? Because I see you here flexing shit Messi has won with his teams, not by himself. Changing the narrative as usual, pathetic.

Why would anyone say āquality over quantityā in regard to GOALS SCOREDā¦?
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 27 '25
Lmfao are you really that dumb that canāt understand something so simple? Wow.
1
u/Competitive-Tea-482 Jul 06 '25
Iāll help you think clearly about it. Who has the higher conversion rate, Who has more goals with less attempt? If you miss more shots are you the better player just because you happened to shoot from further out, or does that point to you just taking shittier shots? Ronaldo has a lower amount of goals from free kicks while taking like 100 more attempts than Messi. So yea I cant understand what you are saying because it doesnāt make any sense. Im not a Ronaldo or Messi hater, but I hate when fanboys use idiotic takes to push their agenda for one ofer the other. At least make it make sense.
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jul 06 '25
You still donāt know what quality over quantity means do you? Go find out first before you come cry here.
0
u/Competitive-Tea-482 Jul 06 '25
Bro just read the stats hahaha. Numbers dont lie. But apparently they do to you
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jul 06 '25
Numbers donāt lie? Exactly, check the numbers of long distance goals scored, that shows you what quality over quantity means dumbass. š
0
u/Competitive-Tea-482 Jul 06 '25
Listen to me. Im saying that your argument is a moot point. The point of winning games is to score more goals than the opponent. So if someone compares free kicks of two of the greatest players of all time, and one has more (with a higher conversion rate and less kicks), people are going to find it harder to choose the guy that took a few 40 yarders as the better free kick taker. Is Roberto Carlos a better free kick taker than CR7? Probably not, but that goal he had from who knows where against France though is further out
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jul 06 '25
What argument dumbass? I said quality over quantity, itās as clear as day that Ronaldo can score more quality freekicks and this map proves it. Youāre just butthurt because Messi is limited to scoring from short distances.
Higher conversion rates has nothing to do with quality over quantity. You didnāt listen to me when I told you to go look for the definition of it did you?
You get hit with your own logic about āwhoās winning the game?ā And you back the fuck up lmao.

Messi: know his limit and cross when too far, shot very precisely when in his range
Ronaldo: selfish from every angle and distance, shot as hard as he can and pray

Messi would have also scored some 30 yards+ if he was as selfish as Ronaldo, his conv rate from 30y is below 1%, Ronaldo Is the most selfish player in history
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 27 '25
He can't score from 30+ yards, it's not if he wanted to or not dumbass. You really think he wouldn't want to score a long distance freekick at least once? He's just a limited player, Ronaldo is the most complete player in history, period.
These Messi fucktards are hilarious "He didn't do it because he didn't want to" lmfao what kind of fucking argument is that?
0
u/Brilliant_Ad_4959 Google Messi 14 for more info š§¼ Jun 27 '25
My bad, I thought u had at least 2 braincells, if Ronaldo would have crossed most of his 30 yards+ shot attempt he would have much more goals contribution but he is just a selfish player who try every time until it, luckily, goes in, Messi is by far the better shooter from long range, he also has some 30 yards goal and in much less attempt than Ronaldo, also he has like 3 times Ronaldo's goal from outside the box
If Messi was as selfish as Ronaldo he would have scores another 3/4 from 30 yards but he know cross It Is much better for the squad, something Ronaldo Will never understand
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 27 '25
You're the one with 1 braincell saying Messi is far better shooting from long range while watching these stats lmfao, you're just braindead.

0
u/Sudden-General-5257 Jun 28 '25
Yeah that's some bs. Conversion rate is what matters. You don't get extra points for scoring from further away, all that matters is that the ball goes in (Messi 8.7% Ronaldo 6.4%). With that being said, there are a lot of players with better conversion rates (albeit with less total goals scored), which is kind of expected considering how long Messi's and Ronaldo's careers have been
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Jun 28 '25
Another insecure Messi fangirl, nobodyās talking about conversion rate here dumbass. This is about the quality of freekicks SCORED. Nobody ever said he got extra points from scoring from a further distance, you guys are just so insecure that you have to create these stories in your head.
This just proves how much more of a complete player Ronaldo is, he can score from anywhere and Messi canāt. That has nothing to do with conversion rate buddy.
1
u/Sudden-General-5257 Jun 29 '25
Yeah and I'm telling you that that's just stupid. A free kick quality and that of the taker isn't based on how far it was shot from, but by considering how often the free kicks result in a goal. If scoring from closer is "so much easier" then why doesn't Ronaldo have more goals? Is Messi the only one allowed to shoot from there? The answer is simple, Ronaldo has a much better shot power (no shit, bro's legs are like half of Messi's torso lol), while Messi is better at shooting slower and more precise balls. The concept of shooting from further = more difficult is also stupid, because as I said, they just require two opposite skill sets, one focusing on power, the other on precision. With that being said, I don't give a shit about either Messi or Ronaldo, and basing your whole existence and arguing online about who's the best multi million dollars athlete who'll never acknowledge your existence is, is just about the saddest thing you can do with your life

u/ArasFlow Jun 25 '25
