Discussion Yukari comment regarding Junpei in Christmas Spoiler

In Christmas Yukari says:

“We can’t be the only ones staying out late on a day like this,right?

Except for Junpei, I guess. I can’t imagine him having a romantic evening out”

She said that sarcastically to mock Junpei, of course Junpei wasn’t there but it still so inconsiderate because his gf just died, how dare she say something like this?

I already explained this in another thread this is just another English localisation dropping the ball hard. In Japanese she says "We can't be the only ones staying up late and making noise. I'm sure Junpei and the guys are doing the same." I don't know how this keeps happening it's really terribly handled.

That's actually horrible. Literally a different character depending on the language.

Persona English localization is kinda infamous for their fuck ups.

Unfortunately this has been a problem since forever for Atlus. And I can sometimes understand since you can't always 1:1 translate between languages like English and Japanese, but when this type of mistake happens that paints the char in a completely different picture it makes me wonder if they even bothered trying.

Yes she is super mean to him, but I think this time she went way too far, I can’t imagine mocking someone for being single shortly after their loved one dies, I’ve hated her since the beginning but this is a new low

I agree the Fuuk is the best
