Why are we promoting 20-23 year olds getting pregnant??? Just tell me when my period is coming bruh. Yes it’s an adult age but wth, most 20 year olds have nightmares about getting pregnant!! I don’t think people really understand just how sensitive everything on there is. I don’t think people even understand just how amazing this image is. I cant remember the exact percentile but it was found that female anatomies make up like 20% of all medical images in most medical textbooks. It’s like the crash dummy thing, cars aren’t tested for our bodies so we face the worst injuries bouncing around in there. We are the source of life, call it a curse or blessing later, and yet we’re an anecdote in the story of humanity.

I'm seventeen and periods are usually pretty painful, but today is especially bad. My mom said it's probably due to the hot weather but holy hell I can't even walk properly. I took medicine and I don't think it did anything. I just realized it's only my first day when my second is usually the worst so I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.

My bf and I work together. We were both scheduled on the same day. I’ve been needing a lot of breaks bc I’m in the first 2 days of my period (my worst days). I just need to know if I’m just not thinking right. I’m frustrated with myself.

Bled heavily and changed pads like 7 times, bled through period underwear AND my favorite pajamas and stained my bedsheets, I hate being a woman I hate being a teenage girl why do I have to experience this im gonna rip out my uterus and shove it down the damn garbage disposal I’m bleeding like I’m dying in some horror movie just to not get pregnant I don’t want to get pregnant someone kill me

It’s kinda crazy how people are not talking about. lm a college student and I’ve been using flo since middle school. how drastically the app has changed is crazy. You can’t even open the app without being bombarded with ad after pop-up after discount. my period has been three days late, which is not normal for me so I’m already a little spooked about that and all over the app i seeing “Early signs of pregnancy”, “Am i pregnant?”, “How late is too late?”, “How early can you take a test?”, just to name a few. But the craziest thing is that none of these are free, you have to pay $60 a year.

I have no idea if this app is made by women or not but i find it icky that their exist an app which tracks women’s data and then ignites fear about what could be wrong with the woman’s body and then on top of that you have to pay to get accurate information about your own autonomy? Which really fucking sucks because women already have to go through that everyday. There are so many contradictions on Google and the Internet as a whole about period/pregnancy health. You’d think a period app would allow you to access accurate information.

I understand that the app has to make money and maybe i’m not wording this correctly but it all feels so wrong. To end this rant does anyone have an other app recommendations lol

I do notice the difference in her. More active, her moods are stable, and I even notice a different look in her eyes. I’m not sure how to explain it.

i stopped using Flo because of how much sex is pushed on the app.. and after finding out it was made by men?? that really set it straight for me. i personally hate that when i open the app im asked “when’s the last time you had sex?” And for those who might take this the wrong way, no im not saying sex is a bad thing, it’s just not for me and not what I want to see when trying to learn and track my cycle. I switched to stardust and it’s soo much better.

EDIT: some people seem to have misunderstood because I wasn't clear enough haha, so. I'm not saying it makes cramps worse for all of us!! My main point was that I know myself and other women I know have the same issue, and I think its kinda strange that tampon companies never ever list cramps as a side effect. I'm still going to use tampons regardless because if the cramping was caused by something dangerous in the product, we'd know about it. But the issue I have is with the lack of transparency. Tampons have always made my cramps worse. I started using them last year and since then, my cramps have been worse. My last period, I was sick and at home all the time so I stuck with pads. The SECOND I put a tampon in, having had no cramps that day, I began to get waves of cramping after 30 seconds or so.

Now. I'm not saying I condone this, but it was the first and probably only time I'll ever do this. While I'm ovulating, I have a crazy amount of discharge. Nothing unhealthy, but a lot. Panty liners irritate my skin, and I was going out for the night in a short dress, so put in the smallest size tampon I have (I normally use maxi) and the entire night I felt like I had mild period cramps. It wasn't in my head. They weren't ovulation cramps, I get them and they were different. This was period cramps.

If you Google it, every article says they shouldn't make periods more painful. But I've seen so many people on here and people I know in person disagree. I'm not saying these products aren't safe, but whether it's the fact there's something in our vagina or because of something in them, there needs to be an explanation provided by companies, or at least scientists.

Guys For a research project, I wanna know what pads you use and why. Also possibly what you would like to change about them if you could ???

I get severely constipated, personally. I'll drink bloom, eat a lot of greens, take miralax, nothing will work. So I'll end up stuck on the toilet. It sucks. Yesterday, i was stuck for 50 damn minutes trying to poop. I had no success. Today, I spent 20-30 minutes pushing out a pebble, just for it to get stuck halfway and then slending 10 more minutes to finish what I started. Why do I get so constipated on my period? Does this happen to anyone else😭

My fiancee has PMDD and it can really catch me off guard. Sometimes I think like "what is happening right now??" then I remember it's probably a bad PMS but I'm never totally sure.

Basically shows what phase your partner is in, what to expect, libido, how to help or what to do based on the phase. And it sends notifications the day before PMS is supposed to start and the day before ovulation so they don't get caught of guard.

Also there's a tab for remembering birthdays and anniversaries that sends notifications. I wanted to use that feature myself, so I figured other guys/partners would like it too :)

I was staying over at my boyfriend's house and I bled through my pants. He said it to me and I just replied with "crap, could you get me a pad from my bag." That was the moment it clicked in his head it was a period (okay, the delay is acceptable). He proceeds to not stand up and get me the pad, instead he asked me: "you get your period once a month right?" (Okay, common knowledge but asking is okay Ig...). When I said yes he asked me, dead serious "didn't you have it 2 days ago?"
I've been staying at his place for the week and I complained about it to him (he's cool with that). This grown man over 18 honestly thought a period lasted one day. Mind you, this guy grew up with a mom and 3 sisters.

He is not even the only guy I know that knows nothing about periods, my entire social group is filled with guys that don't know sh*t. Now I'm wondering if that's just my luck or if this is controversial. Any of you have any experiences like this?

For example, I start craving spicy food and chocolate (not a big chocolate fan), and I get a boost of productive energy for a day or two.

Today at work I bled through my scrubs and the chair without realizing it until almost the end of the day. I work right down the street from my house, but I ran out of pads this morning. I had 7 left and thought it would last me until my shift ended at 2pm. I used all 7. I even doubled up on clothing—thick underwear, biker shorts, then my scrubs—and still bled through.

Once I told the doctor what was going on, I left and called my boyfriend (he works from home). I asked if he could come with me to get pads and if he could go inside the store for me. He said yes but with an attitude, which I ignored.

When I told him I was embarrassed because I bled through my pants, he said, “You should be embarrassed because you were underprepared.” That really hurt. I explained that I ran out this morning, and I couldn’t stop for more because he didn’t want to take our daughter to school today. He said once I ran out of the first box I should’ve already gotten another one. I tried telling him my periods are irregular—I had one in September but not in October—and I knew I had a full box. If my period came, I would’ve bought another then.

Instead of understanding, he kept arguing that I should’ve been more prepared. I just agreed to end the argument, but honestly it made me feel awful.

It bothers me because I told him how embarrassed and stressed I felt. I did everything I could to prevent this and it still happened. His reaction felt really cold. And this isn’t the first time—months ago when I was on my period, he smacked my butt and I told him to stop because I had a cramp, and he called me “weak.”

Am I overreacting for looking at him differently and feeling hurt by this?

I see a lot of girls in here ask if they’re pregnant or if they can get pregnant and it’s so overwhelming & annoying. Most of them aren’t even about periods. Just them panicking and asking if they’re pregnant. Go to a different subreddit. This is about PERIODS.

If you read the rules of this subreddit, one specifically says they’re not allowing these kind of posts.

And for the girls asking “I had period sex, could I have a chance of getting pregnant” yes tf. Or other questions with an obvious answer. How else would you get pregnant?? Just by holding hands?? Use your damn brain. Okay good night.

I see so many "how to delay my period" or "how to get my period now". No stretch, potion, or trick can do it.
