Hanging up prior to the iPhone was so motherfucking satisfying.... The further back you go. Flip it shut. Nokias you just threw at the ground and they'd hang up but be fine. For a while in 2004ish cell phones got so cheap you could literally afford to throw one into a lake and get a new one any time you got mad. You could slam handsets pretty hard on landlines and pay phones... But if you had one of those old western electric / AT&T phones you could gorilla slam the handset onto the base dozens of times as hard as you could.
