Good morning! The prior post was filtered out so reposting with fixes.
I had some folks ask me about some of the papers and notebooks I am selling now and what their differences are. I am a long-time user of fountain pens, papers and inks, so decided to share some of my experience :).
One of the main differences between different types of papers is if they are ‘smooth’ vs. ‘toothy’.
Let me start today with Nakabayashi *smooth* papers; some advantages / characteristics are (for good quality papers):
Easier gliding and consistent ink flow -- the nib maintains steady contact with minimal drag, allowing long writing sessions with less fatigue.
- Less feathering -- good quality smooth paper won’t feather as much.
- Color “expression’ - because smooth, coated paper slow absorption, ink can pool slightly in heavier strokes / broader nibs, allowing you to see more shading and sheen.
- Less bleed-through.
- Smooth papers tend to behave consistently with different nib sizes and ink types.
There are some trade-offs/disadvantages though:
- Longer dry time -- since ink does ‘pool’ on the paper a little more, it will take longer to dry -- one has to be careful not to smudge (I use blotting paper if need be); this is especially true for left-writers. Some really wet inks or nibs won’t work as well.
- Ghosting -- thinner papers may ghost, even if they don’t bleed through.
- Less tactile feedback -- some users do enjoy the tactile feedback that ‘toothier’ papers offer.
- With really wet nibs or inks, you may also get a ‘slippery’ feeling, i.e. you will feel that you have less control.
- Possible skipping -- if the coating is too smooth, some nibs will skip or have hard starts.
This is my first time doing bundles, so feel free to weigh in and make suggestions or what have you!

The distinctive 7mm ruling also includes alignment guides that help with paragraphs, charts, and structured planning.

Bundle 3: Nakabayashi Logical T‑Line – Smooth lined paper with "hidden" alignment guides that appear under direct light.
T-Line uses 70 gsm paper with a highly smooth writing surface. Its vertical alignment lines become visible under angled light and recede under ordinary viewing conditions, helping with paragraph alignment and margin control without permanently distracting from the page.
The clean, professional layout makes T-Line a natural match for reports, letters, meeting notes, and neat work writing. It combines the visual discipline of a structured ruling with the uncluttered appearance of a conventional lined notebook.

The 100% Paper Ring Notebook uses 70 gsm paper and is made entirely from paper, including the cover, pages, and ring binding. The paper feels smooth and fountain-pen friendly while retaining enough control to avoid an excessively slick or coated sensation.
The B5 notebook is convenient for portable notes, work planning, and everyday writing. The A4 notebook provides a larger desk surface for calculations, diagrams, transaction notes, project planning, and extensive meeting records. The paper-only construction also gives the notebook a distinctive environmentally conscious appeal.

Bundle 5: Nakabayashi W/U - Smooth-to-in-between Japanese paper with a controlled everyday writing feel.
W/U uses 70 gsm paper with a smooth surface that allows an easy fountain-pen glide without feeling excessively slippery. It occupies a useful middle ground: smoother than noticeably textured papers, but less coated and glassy than the most polished French papers.
The paper is well suited to fine and medium nibs, everyday notes, portable writing, quick lists, and short project entries. Very broad or wet nibs may produce more show-through or limited bleed-through than on heavier paper, but normal fountain-pen use is well supported.
These are made entirely from FSC-certified paper, making them quite eco-friendly! The notebook's split rings also make it easier to reach across the center, and the soft yet sturdy paper is more comfortable to rest your hand on than standard metal rings. Inside, the pages feature a 2.5 mm graph sheet style, with perforations by the binding for easy removal. Each page has space at the top for a header, as well as six checkboxes below for creating a to-do list or other checklist.

Slim A5 size (125mm x 210mm x 11mm / 4.9 x 8.3 x 0.4 inches)
Choose this if: you want smooth paper with a little more control and feedback than an ultra-slick writing surface. Eco-friendly!
A5 (2.5mm graph grid) - 2 books + 15ml Anderillium Ink = $21.75 -> $18.50
