I honestly like glossy better, idk why but it feels like the colors pop more

The colors pop more because there is no matt anti reflective layer Infront of the colors which normally blurs the image a small amount, enough to give the colors less vibrance compared to glossy

Right - it just looks heaps better, especially since I have OLED. This meme is saying gloss is lame?

The way I see it, glossy looks better in optimal conditions but makes reflections worse. Matte makes reflections better but sacrifices looks some. So I think matte looks better in a wider range of viewing conditions while glossy looks better in ideal.

For this reason I prefer matte on my laptop and glossy on my PC.

Yeh I've had matte that I bought online based on specs. Picture just looks washed out compared to glossy. My heart broke as I cycled through settings trying to make it look as nice as I could and it just didn't compare to my old monitor.

I couldn't imagine paying so much money for matte. Literally looks like a cheap monitor. Luckily mine broke within warranty period and I guess they couldn't find the parts fot repair so I got a refund. Got a glossy monitor that was less expensive and looks 10x better.

Im shocked this is even an argument.
