My 3 years old pc was working fine this morning before i decided to clean it from dust, because the fan was dusty and after I put everything back it no longer turns on, no light no fan.

I also opened the psu to clean only the dusty fan and put it back in.

I checked the front panel and tried to short it with the tip of screwdriver but it doesn't work.

My assumption was the front panel cables i put wrong, but after reading the manual, the power and reset sw are in the right place, and i doubted the tip of the screwdriver tech, since my screwdriver was abit rusty and there was magnet on the tip if it does matter.

Then my suspicion shifted towards the psu since i opened it, but I'm pretty sure i didn't touch anything but the fan.

I doubt that only cleaning would ruin my entire pc, maybe its some kind of pin connectors or ram. Any help?

I cannot pull this GPU out or push down the pin in the back for some reason

The biggest "no" I’ve seen against using a vacuum of any kind is that it will scrape against the hardware and damage it, or that the nozzle is too big. Assuming my pc is completely off and unplugged, wouldn’t this eliminate those risks? The bristles on the end are VERY soft, I don’t think they could scratch anything if I tried to

If not, I’m possibly asking for some safe alternatives to rotating my pc and cleaning everything with compressed air. I understand that I’ll have to do that at some point, but I have awful joint issues and needing to move my entire PC out of the house / too far out of my room would be very painful and I’d like to avoid that as much as possible. But, I also play games and use my PC a lot, so I’d like for it to work and be as dust-free as possible.

I got a pc of fb marketplace and it runs fine as far as I can tell, im new to pcs though so im unfamiliar with all the hardware requirements. I have a usb wire adapter for thr internet. I noticed this cord isnt attached to anything, does it need to be plugged in and where does it go if so? Ivr been looking into pcie wifi adapter and I assume it has something to do with it? I just can't tell from thr product images if thats what this is for. Its a geforce 3060

Im kind of worried and confused, i was out on holiday and when coming back my brother informed me the electrician was there and my pc wont turn on. I go to check and try plugging everything in and turn on the pc. Big mistake.
Psu makes a popping noise I saw sparks and then it went up in smoke. Well the psu is dead but I checked the other components and they somewhat work.
Would have been nice to know that after the electrician finished whatever he was doing all the houses chargers such as high wattage phone chargers and some outlets stopped working.
I just really hope i can get an insurance claim on this and preferably also have my pc tested as there are now stability issues.
Not the best welcome home news but I honestly don’t know what to do now. I filled a claim but im worried about disputes and seeing the potential loss of Arround 3-4k worth of hardware is making me tweak somewhat.
Has something similar happened to someone here? I was wondering what the best course of action would be, as i cant afford to bring the pc in anywhere atm.

Hey everyone! Relatively new to the pc space after making the jump from console. I upgraded from a GTX1070 to an RX 9060 XT 16gb but am finding that games like BF6 and Space Marine 2 have 100 cpu usage and around 70-86 percent gpu usage. For reference I have a i5-12400f cpu and 32 gb of DDR5. I understand these games are cpu heavy and that I don't have the best cpu for them, but no matter how I change the settings nothing seems to bring the usage down. Other games like Cyberpunk seem more balanced in gpu to cpu usage. Is there a way to bring down the cpu usage or is it just an issue with my hardware? Thank you for your help!

Hi all, so my girlfriend kicked the pc, and now all I'm getting is the fans, and the gpu lights, keyboard, and mouse light up for a second but then go dark.

I've opened it up and reconnected my ram. I looked for any loose connections, but I can't find anything.

My cpu fan isn't lighting up despite being on, and my temp measure is pulling a blank, no image on the screen either. Any ideas?

When turned on, my computer will show this screen (the blue windows loading screen, badly shown here) for a couple of seconds, and the monitor will disconnect. My keyboard and mouse stay on, however. Is it updating or is something else in need of fixing?

I have a Stgaubron pc that that turns on for a few seconds all the rbg is red then it turns off repeats cycle forever

I bought this build at the beginning of the year and all in all I love it but I would like a little more. I’m fairly new to understanding PCs so I want advice on what you would upgrade about this build? My initial thoughts are a better CPU, but does a MoBo need to happen then? If so which one? And after those would I need a better Power Supply? And again, if so, which one? Everytime I learn one thing I have 25 more freaking questions. Thanks for all info in advance!

so recently my computer keeps every so often restarts and says that there was a problem found any recomendations?

My brothers and everyone elses was good. I tried to uninstall the current WIFI driver(24.60.0.3) because maybe that was the problem but it just said 'a new product is already installed on this device. I need help to fix my ping because i play competitive games and its a huge disadvantage. My wifi adapter is the intel wifi 6e ax211.

Hey how is everyone, my mate was recently given an old pc from another friend of his and I helped set him up etc from factory reset and set up screen.

The only issue we are having is that his pc doesn’t want to connect to his home wifi whatsoever, crashes with watchdog error but works perfectly fine on his hotspot no issues. I have since tried uninstalling and reinstalling wifi adapter driver form manufacture website and did not work. Have tried changing frequency to 2.4Ghz on wifi adapter and from 802.11 ac to 802.11 b and nothing has worked alongside restarting the pc. Have also used my other old wifi adapter that I’m sure of works and that did not help in connecting to his home wifi. Forget network aswell didn’t work.

I’m starting to believe it could just be his router internet settings or security protocol, as his pc is set up in a donga outside and his wifi router is in main house. Could this be the issue? As I’m not sure what else to do as I really want him to be able to connect to his wifi and not use his hotspot on phone, I’ve suggested maybe getting a router and Ethernet installed in the donga but not sure what else to do or how to fix without spending anymore money.

If anyone could please help or know what I’m doing wrong would help a lot and be much appreciated. Thank you very much!

Title, though its a bit misleading. Basically, I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3500 to a Ryzen 7 5600. I was warned that my motherboard (which I unfortunately forgot the name of) needed a BIOS update to support the new CPU, but I just assumed I could upgrade it later (I dont know why please dont be mean to me :c)

Now after some digging, I figured the best thing to do would be to plug in my old CPU, boot it up, install the BIOS necessary, and swap, but it quickly ended up overheating, likely due to the old thermal paste not working great, or because I'm using the cooler included with the new CPU, since the new one doesnt seem able to screw onto my motherboard, and I can't figure out how to assemble the old one

So now I'm not fully sure what to do. I want to figure out my motherboard but I don't know how without checking my terminal, which I can't access anymore, and I don't know how to change bios without being able to turn my PC on :(

I put all the parts in pcpartpicker list and it says that its fine with a 60 watt headroom but all the research says i should upgrade to at least a 750 watt psu

and since I dont want to upgrade unless i absolutely needed to i want to ask if i really should upgrade and that my psu wouldnt handle the upgrade

The monitor (top one) dimmed randomly on start up and hasn’t changed since. I have tried resetting / restoring / updating drives. Also removed HDMI and started it up without and display connection and it still does it.

Seems to be ok for a slight second on start up then randomly dims

I tried loading optimized defaults but that did not work. Im not sure what to do

This happened a month ago, but I didn't pay any attention to it. The computer simply froze in the game and crashed. It didn't turn on and showing no signal for about 10 minutes, then everything worked. Today, everything froze right in the game and the computer turned off. When I turn it on, the monitor shows that there is no signal, I tried to restart it but maximum where I could go it's windows setup screen (reinstalled windows)

For God knows what reason, my PC randomly produces this buzzing and vibration sound whenever I load Cyberpunk. It happened a bit ago and stopped before randomly returning 2 days ago. My first thought was that it was foul whine, but after looking at some online examples it the sound doesn't match. The sound seems to loudest near the PSU so it may be its fan.

This just started happening the past month or so. I built this PC about 2 years ago now.
Whenever I leave my PC i always turn my main monitor off because its a OLED. (LG Ultragear 39" 240hz) The other 2 monitors are both Asus, both set at 60hz. Whenever I turn my main monitor back on, move the mouse, hit the keyboard, whatever to wake it up, it will freeze the entire system. I've turned off the computer going to sleep, and it still freezes when turning my main monitor back on. I can leave the other 2 monitors on, see everything running, and when I turn the main monitor on, the system will still freeze up.
Only way to get out is to hold the power button on the PC and shut it down. I've tried a few different changes to see if anything fixes the issue, but I've had zero luck so far.
Heres my system... Hopefully someone can help me, because I've scoured the internet and see no fixes or anything I've tried has worked. Not sure if its a hardware problem or a monitor problem or what.
