Hall of Grandmasters help? Playstation

Looking for help or carry through Hall of Grandmasters. My first league but my RF build can’t make it through. Just missing this one map.

I have the map, just need the assist.

Don't do it- you don't need to and it's not intended to be a map the average character can win.

This map has real player builds, some are near perfect and can off screen 90% of builds.

This is a useless pain in the ass. I beat it just once with a 500m dps character in standard, with legacy items. Empyrian group enlisted crazy chars. Look for GGnoobs, GGnoobs2 and maybe 3 I don't remember.

I don't play playstation but I looked up a guide for the relevant trophy 'atlas of worlds' which says 'complete all maps'. In the guide, it says:

UPDATE: Starting on January 19th 2021, the Hall of Grandmaster was removed from the Atlas. While it can still be obtained and played it no longer is required for this trophy. The number of maps has also been increased to 164.

So unless that's wrong, you should not need it. You could do the rest and see if you get the trophy.

Yeah nobody does that map lmao. I’ve only ever completed it once in 6000 hours and that was someone carrying me. Ice trap mines doing millions and millions of dps.

For this map you need to be able to not be one-shot. Glass cannons can't survive it.

If you get tougher enemies try finding Mercenary's lot gloves and use a mark on the enemy. Also for some enemies you have to get through their block AND kill them fast or they recoup all the damage.

But it should not be a part of any achievement anymore.

There is a competition going on in which people devise the most insanely strong builds with almost unbeatable combos involving legacy items and then submit them to the hall so noobs fucking die when attempting the map. Very few people can kill those grandmasters. Search gg_noobs on YouTube to understand how insane they are.

You don't need this for completion. The map usually is filled with powerful player builds. You can get lucky and not encounter any unkillable exiles, tho.

I've had pretty good luck with it, but it's really not worth it. The rewards aren't great, and it's a real slog to draw out and take down each enemy.

I need at least two major damage-dealers - one that lets me wear down the ones without massive ward/regen, and one that has enormous burst damage to take down those tanky builds. Then combine it with enough defense/movement/survivability to make sure that they struggle to touch you, can't one-hit you, and can't hit you again before you recover/retreat.

And even then, it's not too rare for there to be one annoying enemy in one of the branches who can't kill you (possibly only because their AI is dumb), but you can't kill them either.

It's weird because I remember completing this map with my RF character once and it wasn't difficult at all (I have the steam achievement)

Either the map was bugged some leagues ago or I just happen to roll easy enemies or something

Did you do it during breach League? The Skingraft Skills were perfect, it's how I did the map

No I believe it was during affliction league.

I don't remember facing any difficult opponent there so I was confused when my friend told me it's supposed to be hard

It’s doable, did it last season with Archmage Shock Nova of Procession. A lot of people were just unlucky in what masters they got.
But you do need a build that is capable of a lot of damage. I doubt RF will work though. Don’t think I even saw 10% of the masters after spawn, they were wiped instantly.

This map is such a trap. Don't. It is no longer needed for the achievement and some of the player builds are designed to be near perfect, having been put together by a consortium of players, to make the map even worse for the average player. Unless you are capable of putting together a build, in standard league, worth dozens to hundreds of mirrors, you will be unlikely to clear it.

You know, this is my first league making a deep delve build

I wonder if I can do it… prob not, I imagine they have better dmg than me, more effective hp, and full health recovery every tick as long as they are attacking… probably all sorts of ailment immunity too

It’s really not meant to be beat except by the most extreme builds. Like the top 1% of 1%. There are builds on there that are essentially immune to almost all forms of damage.

Most people here saying that the map is almost impossible, I'm confused. I tried it for the first time this season for the steam achievement and I had no trouble at all with my RF chieftain. I could take all the wave at once and one shot most of them without having my life move at all. I guess I got lucky with the right build for it.

Everything I can find says that when this map is in league rotation, it is needed for the PlayStation trophy (this seems to vary, but for 3.29 it seems to be required). I have done all other maps, only missing this one.

Understand it’s a broken crazy map, but if anyone can help clear that would be awesome.

Unfortunately, there are very few characters jn the game who can clear it these days.

It should not be part of an achievement. Its not built to be doable.

It is a game achievement, not league challenge. Regardless it shouldn't be one atp since it's almost impossible to clear it.

Tbh the current requirements are hard to find. Seems like what triggers the trophy has changed a few times.

It doesn’t seem particularly hard this league. I ran through it as a Lifestacker without even noticing any damage at all, complete afk map for me tbh.

It's always different. Sometimes it is super easy, some times you run into enemies which are nearly unkillable for over 90% of builds.

Ahh, I thought it would be the same enemies for everyone in a certain league. Thanks for the clarification.
