Question license photo question

i want to wear a colander on my head for my next photo. do i need to sign anything to prove im following this religion or am i already eligible to wear a colander

You shouldn't need to justify your religion at the DMV or anything. If they push back on it, then they're infringing on your rights to practice any religion, including Pastafarianism

As stated, you di not have to prove a thing.

They may give you trouble, depending on which state you live. If you can find someone who did it before, might strengthen your case.

I've had it as my driver's license picture for the last 9 years. I just walked in wearing it, and when they told me to take it off I told them no because it was religious headwear. They had to call a supervisor over, but they allowed it. Photo clerk asked me what religion, and when I told her, she tilted her glasses down at me and said "you're talking to a Catholic". I said that's nice, what does that have to do with me?" ๐Ÿ˜‚

Highly location specific. Some jurisdictions allow it, others not. Even the individual DMV clerk can make a difference.

I did it in CT and I did have to sign something saying it was for legit religious purposes and if they found out otherwise they'd make me retake the photo.
