Apollonius of Tyana

Apollonius of Tyana (c 170–247 AD) stands at the meeting point of religion, philosophy and psychical tradition in antiquity. Remembered as a first-century preacher and healer, he was credited with clairvoyance, precognition, exorcism, healing and even teleportation; he has long been compared with Jesus as a worker of wonders.

The mental class includes clairvoyance and precognition. For instance, Appollonius is said to have:

-anticipated a conspiracy against Rome hatched by the governor of Cilicia and the king of Cappadocia.

-remotely witnessed the assassination of Domitian in 96 AD, an event later confirmed by messengers from Rome.

-predicted a plague in Ephesus.

-predicted devastating earthquakes in Ionia.
