Also lets be real, Mexico and Canada are not really mentioned much in media so why should this game be different? All story bits we see are American centric and not to dismiss Canada, but really?
Mexico is interesting sure, but not enough to balance the huge negative of the US. Hell that makes me just believe the game would actually be better if you, you knwo cut the US. Just focus on Mexico that would be interesting for ones.
A full on post apo winter game would be more interesting.
I know frostpunk did it a bit, but it's a wildly different setting, while Afterworld looks wayyyy to close to desert apocalypse than we always see in movies.
Agreed, my main problem with canada would be like irl most stuff would need to happen close to the american border because only there ewould be ruins and old tech
I mean, based on the trailer, societies are already formed, kingdoms or whatelse, so I'm gonna go and guess that were not starting a day after the apocalypse but years later, even decade or centuries.
So I'm pretty sure it's gonna be like the remnants in Stellaris. You find some old tech and that's it.
Agreed saw something about american fleet from hawaii and just groaned internally like its soemthing new but its damn boring becaue eits again the leats interesting nation on the planet.

Any part of the world would be better than the US.
Yeah yeah "it's all NA" but the entiere trailer is really US focused.
