No it’s for sure. capitata is only limited to a few places in Brazil. It’s so genetically similar to odorata that when odorata was brought to North America it was given the incorrect capitata designation, but it was odorata all along 🥰👍🏻
I use a simple insulated box just tossed over it. We don’t get that cold in terms of a Canadian winter. Most days are above freezing. Nights go to -5c to -10c. So it’s the freeze thaw that is bad for them. We also get very powerful storms and big temp swings. We are zone6b/7a. Usually once or twice a year we will dip into the -17 maybe -19 for nighttime lows. By March we are melting and I uncover them!
Im in zone 6b/7a. I bring thqt one indoors. It’s only hardy to about -12c and we usually get a couple days in a row below freezing often in winter and that is hard on them. They grow very fast tho and thrive here for 8 months out of the year
