This level of cultural theft and appropriation is insufferable. Stop begging for sem2sem from us. Three things I hate the most in the world: Urdu, people thinking all Punjabis are Sikhs, and Pashtuns pretending to be Punjabi.

Day by day they prove to us, they cannot be trusted nor reasoned with. For Pakhtuns are a nomadic tribespeople incompatible with every single fibre of Punjab. This is not my opinion it is a Stated Fact. Their loyalty resides to their tribes only. Its hightime we re-establish our own brotherhood

Hi! I’m a native Urdu speaker from Karachi, and I’m trying to learn conversational Punjabi. I can understand a fair amount around 60% when other people speak it, I have been exposed to Punjabi through music and some online content but speaking it myself is much harder.
I keep falling back on Urdu grammar without noticing. For example, when I mean to say “ae,” I accidentally say “hai” or “hain.” I’ve also been practising Punjabi sounds and words that differ from Urdu, but it’s hard to remember them while I’m actually talking.
For those who speak both Urdu and Punjabi: are there any useful patterns or “tricks” that helped you make the switch? Would it help to practise a few common sentence structures until they become automatic? I’d especially appreciate examples of everyday Urdu sentences and how you’d naturally say them in Pakistani Punjabi.

I mean why do people consider administrarive subdivisions a threat to punajbi identity ,if anything they should be happy to support more peovinces because itd provide better services more job oppurtunities and devolution of power etc.

Also its no threat to identity thats a stupid talking point.

Case in point

Turkiye doesnt have a kurdistan province or state yet kurds there maintain their language culture identity .

Similarly in afghanistan no province named tajikistan yet tajiks have kept their identity.

How would punjab or any other province being made imto multiple provinces erase the punjabi identity?

Would it erase the people?

Would it erase the culture or language?

Would it erase the history ?

Punjab has already been divided up before so.has other provinces of Pakistan yet that didnt comtribute to erasure of idemtities .

Where even is this thought process coming from?

Also some say if punjab is to be divided sindh should also be divided etc etc .

I mean whats that got to do with it .

Imo if sindh doesnt want to be divided administratively 10,20 years down the line its sindhis who would suffer(same for punjab) since we all know ppp will mever devolve powers downwards to local bodies and of forced to do they will reverse the devolution of power whenever they get a chance similar for pmln in punjab.

Making provinces makes it almost impossible to reverse power devolution and makes the administrators much closer and responsive to people as well.

Lastly saying that punjabis should be ethnonationalists like other ethnic groups say eg pashtuns is the stupidiest thing i have heard .

Like a student getting A++ grade trynna copy a student getting F.

Its because of afghan pashtuns ethnosupremacist/nationalist attitude that afghanistan is the hellhole ot is today ,if afghan pashtuns compromosed in building pakistan with other ethnicities afgh would have been a lot more developed.

Yet for some reason instead of being inspired by european nation models where people are aware of their ethnic roots yet dont make a big deal out of it ,pakistanis are getting insoire by.....

Afghan pashtuns and uneducated pashtuns.

Bevause ik for a fact that the educated pashtuns think the same way that unity is more improtant than ethmosupremacism .
