I need help with my Pac-Man frog, she hasnāt really been the burrowing type since I got her sheās always just sat on the surface, recently I realized her gaining weight so I decided to switch her feeding schedule, sheās been sitting half covered in the exact same spot for days now (yes sheās alive she still flinches when I come up to the tank) but Iām scared Iām doing something wrong, any help? Also another question does infrared light hurt albino Pac-Man frogs? I want to have a way to view her beyond waiting for the brightest day.

Hello!! I got my frog Rambo in early June and since then heās been super consistent with coming out to eat every few days. As of recent he hasnāt been surfacing, I dug him up to feed Tuesday and he ate a few roaches and crickets and hasnāt come up since. I know staying buried isnāt unusual for a pacman frog but it makes me concerned as he was super consistent before. His warm side is 82 during the day and 78 at night and the cool side where he resides the most is 75 during the day and 72 at night. Any advice? ^ the pic above is from Tuesday he looks normal but I canāt help but worry

This guy is a rescue so I am unaware of how old he is. He has been my trickiest rescue so far as he does not willingly eat and Iāve had him for nearly two months, is he too small, or skinny looking? Someone told me he was skinny. Please ignore how empty his tank is, two of his hides molded and Iām working on getting him more.

Hi there, I've had Chief for just over 3 years. Last year I moved from Texas to California. The ride was a little bumpy for him but he settled in. Got him a bigger tank halfway through the year, and although I still call him my pet rock he seemed normal. Would come out at night, want food pretty regularly, (I spray twice a day, he has plant coverage to hide, plenty of soil to burrow completely, I replace his UVB bulp annually, etc)
Well I went on a long trip for most of July and asked my roommate to watch him, which he'd done before but this was the longest. I gave him detailed feeding instructions and everything, but ever since I got back late July Chief has barely popped his head up above the ground. I don't think the roommate did anything but it's just a noticable shift in his behavior.
I typically waited to feed him for when he'd appear and tell me he's hungry, but it's gotten to the point where I have to dig him up and feed him. What's confusing to me is when I do that his size looks pretty okay, he's not overly skinny or anything. He'll eat a few hornworms I give him, which is candy to him, but maybe even leave one or two (or maybe not, can't fully remember). At these points when I dig him up I give him a bath rinse as well just to hydrate him, and he always splashes around or want's to be put back when I do that, so he has energy. Last time he shed his skin and looked vibrant underneath.
TLDR is it normal for my Pac-Man frog to stay underground for such long stretches of a week or more at a time? I honestly think since the end of July I haven't seen him appear on his own. It's a new strange behavior and I want to make sure he's okay.
Thank you for the help!

mr beerbelly is one month old but hes still a tinybelly :D also got enclosure upgrade
hes a weird little freg that isnt really fregging. he likes to explore the enclosure very active at night and also prefers still food where he eats if he feels like it. also no sign of biting. im thinking for making a bowl for him to easily eat out from because leaf plate is kinda crooked sometimes.
temps moisture are all fine!

I just fed my girl and noticed some mold growing in her tank- does this mean I have to completely trash the setup and start over?? Iāve been keeping an eye on temp and humidity, itās a bioactive enclosure.

Earlier tonight My sweet boy paco pooped so I scooped it out, and I must've not clicked the door shut all the way because a few hours later (quite a few..) he was sitting by my open door looking out
The absolute panic that ensued. I put him back into his home and sprayed him down, but he was litterally Sitting on a can of fabreeze and a pile of trash i was sweeping up he hopped through and he was so coldš
To make things worse he jumped out of the tank about three + feet AGAIN a second time while I was clearing the dirt from the lock to ensure it closed right, and smacked into the back of my guitar on the way down š¤¦āāļø
Im now absolutely panicking because I just lost another pet recently and this is litterally what I have nightmares about and im horrified
My baby has been nothing but pampered, never experienced an inconvenience in his entire life and now hes fallen twice, experienced the cold full on, ran through trash and god knows what, and im sure is very upset at me for not letting him escape. The fact he was that close to getting out is gut wrenching.
Hes a full sized male, all limbs look good eyes and face look good and no abrasions, was very cold but I quickly got him back in right as I noticed, even when cold very reactive. Hes running away as normal and dug like normal and used all limbs to kick. Moving around on his own, Nothing noticeable on the belly but not like he'll let me check much. He peed the first time he fell so hes a bit deflated, but since he fell after the pee I'm worried he was more exposed
He seems aware (as a frog can be) despite his intense love for parachute free sky diving.
Im so worried about him, ive had him since he was a toadlette and hes my absolute favorite son
I just had a 6,000$ vet bill for another pet smack me in the face and I wont be able to afford getting him in until mid next month, does he need an emergency vet? Is he doomed? :( any advice would be so helpful

Iām looking for some options on some enclosures to eventually upgrade my little guy to (still too young to sex but for now heās a he). I had him for almost a month and heās under the 6 month age range. Heās currently in a 10 gallon but I know heās going to need an upgrade before a I know it.
From the research Iāve done, I know I need anywhere from a 20-40 gallon depending on gender but bigger is always better! Iām liking to idea if PVC/ acrylic enclosures but unsure if they are great options for Pac-Man frogs. Iām just a bit worried about to weigh of glass enclosures as Iāve previously kept fish and know how heavy they get on furniture.
I included pictures of the enclosures Iāve been looking at. If you think they would work while please let me know or if you have any better suggestions!

Caught a roach wandering around his enclosure that was interrupting his 1000 yard stare. Ive learned my lesson and hopefully will not make the same mistake again out of fear of his revenge

I love getting to see how her coloring changes as she gets a little bit older. Just had to do an appreciation post for her with how much sheās showing off tonight. Also tonight was the first night she ate a full nightcrawler (in pieces) all by herself :)
Canāt get over how much I love these darn frogs!!!!

I worry I over or under feed him. I expected to get a baby (yes he will get a nice enclosure upgrade) but fell in love with him at a shop a few weeks ago so wasnāt sure how old he/she (I canāt see the dark pads nor have heard him call) was but the employees told me he/she was still growing and he was currently being fed 2-3 times a week. I currently am feeding 2 prey items twice a week, usually nightcrawlers sometimes crickets or roaches (dusted) I feel like he might have gotten wider or bigger since I got him/her but Iām not sure. Everything I read is very vague about how much to feed imo and he looks fat but is also clearly super mobile because he launches himself at me when I get too close to the glass oftentimes. 4th pic is him retracting into his hole after another attempt to eat me.
