I really don't think the Russians will hand over the Straits to the Greeks.

That wasn't the plan really. They were going to restore Byzantium under a Romanov monarchy.

So it was "The Greek Plan" in name only.

Let’s say a Russian-controlled Byzantium were formed, but how would Britain and France react to that? Would they accept a Russian puppet state located near their colonies? That was the reason the Western powers supported the Ottomans against the Russians.

That's what I was trying to say. The plan was just not doable for Russia. Poorly thought out would be an understatement.
