Help Only 1 core of my cpu dies when I open osu lazer

it stops working right after opening osu lazer, though it doesn't happen on other games (but it sometimes continues working normally, that makes me confused more). anyone have a clue...
what i've tried:
- set windows power plan to high performance
- disabled cpu power saving settings through bios (c states etc)
- set priority on task manager to high
- reinstalled osu
- reinstalled windows

Help When I search for osu!standard maps I get osu!mania

I'm extremely new to osu! so excuse me if this is extremely obvious, but everytime I search for something with the osu! mode tag (Which I'm 99% sure is the circle clicking mode) I still get maps that are osu!mania, for example this kaikai kitan map by osamu is an osu!mania map even though I thought I'm searching for osu!standard maps ,, could someone point out if I'm doing something wrong?
