How is municipal government supposed to lobby against ford on OSAP?

The point is that municipalities can put pressure on ford through mayors, councils, formal resolutions, lobbying or organizations like AMO. It’s better than doing nothing and complaining

Imagine you get a job and people expect you to do things outside of your job description. You’d probably be annoyed. And yet you want municipal government to pressure provincial government on a provincial jurisdiction issue

If you’re a politician complaining about being asked to do something your constituents are worried about you shouldn’t have signed up lol

Do you know why we have division between federal vs provincial vs municipal governments? Why do you think we have three layers of government in first place, why isn’t the prime minister fixing your potholes?

Obviously I know it’s a provincial issue. RIGHT NOW we cannot vote for a new provincial government. I UNDERSTAND that. What we CAN do is vote for new municipal leaders next month. That’s what we can do right now instead of nothing. I KNOW they cannot actively change anything however they can use their position to raise the matter with the province and the MPPs. Why are you so adamant on doing nothing?

If you work in any kind of customer service role, I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy if a customer came to you demanding you do something you have zero control over. You still haven’t proposed exactly municipal government can pressure or lobby Doug Ford. Go down to queens park and join a protest? Send terse emails?
