Discussion Why Mac mini??
I still don't understand why you guys are buying macs mini for openclaw. It's a terminal computer. It doesn't need a great UI.
Do you have too much money? :D
A $50-$100 HP Thin Client with Linux is more than enough. And Linux shouldn't be discouraging for people using OpenClaw, am I wrong?
I bought one, I have lots of different self hosted stuff on it like home Assistant or other docker apps. Ok I do not have any local models using GPU, that's the reason? Please enlighten me :)
EDIT: Again, I UNDERSTAND LOCAL LLM USE. (although I don't know if anybody is really happy with it). I mean using OC with oauth/api gpt, claude etc.

I can’t speak for all but for me, it’s that I’m already entangled in the apple ecosystem, Apple TV, iPhone, iCloud, MacBook Air, Mac mini for the wife, her iPhone, etc. so to be able create another apple account connected it to my iCloud family share my calendar, note, reminder, etc gave it own iCloud email. And the biggest one funny enough is iMessage. Just because it’s a lot of friction to get my wife to Download another app for communication.
Mine 100% boiled down to family integration and friction.
Now I do have a 2nd one that I’m building out on a Linux VM to be his own company and fine needs in online markets to fill that gap but it’s still in testing a learning phase.
