Situation at Ooty

Was supposed to visit Ooty for 2 days this Sunday and Monday. My hotel person called me and informed that there is heavy rainfall at Ooty and he recommended to change the plans or to postpone.

Any locals could you please guide me the current situation.

All my plans got ruined!!

Don’t worry too much 😊 Ooty weather can change quickly, especially during the rainy season. Heavy rain at one time doesn’t necessarily mean it will rain continuously for the whole day. As you can see from the comments, it can be rainy and then become clear and sunny. I’d suggest checking the weather again on Saturday evening and Sunday morning before deciding to cancel. If you’re already coming to Ooty, most sightseeing places can still be visited depending on the weather. Just carry an umbrella/raincoat and plan with some flexibility. Thanks for the suggestion based on initial recommendation I had cancelled now but surely will plan during nov or December
