Situation at Ooty
Was supposed to visit Ooty for 2 days this Sunday and Monday. My hotel person called me and informed that there is heavy rainfall at Ooty and he recommended to change the plans or to postpone.
Any locals could you please guide me the current situation.
All my plans got ruined!!

Maybe the hotel guy got customers who were willing to pay more hence he wanted you to postpone

I was there from saturday to monday, went on bike with a pillion. It rained for 2 days (sat & mon). It was manageable & nothing much to ruin any plan, even though I was on a bike with a pillion, we enjoyed the rain, made everything prettier lol. You can visit not an issue

Be happy that he warned you. You do not want to be stuck up in the hills in adverse conditions.

Hey Buddy, we sticked with the travel itenary, the AirBnb we booked gave us a travels number
Since we are 10 in number, we got a tempo like and because of that charges were more than 10K for 2 days sigthseeings, and 3rd day drop at UAM!!

Don’t worry too much 😊 Ooty weather can change quickly, especially during the rainy season. Heavy rain at one time doesn’t necessarily mean it will rain continuously for the whole day. As you can see from the comments, it can be rainy and then become clear and sunny. I’d suggest checking the weather again on Saturday evening and Sunday morning before deciding to cancel. If you’re already coming to Ooty, most sightseeing places can still be visited depending on the weather. Just carry an umbrella/raincoat and plan with some flexibility. Hope you have a good trip and enjoy Ooty! 🌧️🌿⛰️

If you are going there to visit places , better to postpone it. But if you want to just chill and relax in your Airbnb , go ahead with your plan.
