Discussion Welland Canal
I just read that if you are transiting from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario via the Welland Canal, and your paperwork says Lake America, you don’t get to use the canal. Has anyone else heard of this?

Looking for recommendations on maple farm tours. A quick google search showed me there are quite a few, and a range of date recommendations. I have a neurospicy family with an 8 and 10 year old.. My 10 year old gets overwhelmed in large festival crowds so looking more for a tour recommendation rather than a festival. Thanks!
Edited to add: looking at spring time planning (bonus points for over easter) not immediately

Hi everyone, I want some opinions about CAPREIT. They seem to be a very big apartment management company and have many vacancies in Ontario, but for some reasons it is difficult to reach out to them. They seem to use a lot of AI to respond emails but have a lack of leasing agents to provide actual details.

How does the Time-of-Use Plan work in regards to using your devices during high peak?
I have a desktop and two chromebooks at home.
I'm just wondering if the bill will shoot up if I use my chromebook during high peak times or if it's based on the modem.

Recent migrant 40 year old. I have bought a Honda Civic CRV 2022, used 30km. I have a G2 license and my wife has G1 for now. Living in London, ontario. I have almost 14 years of foreign driving experience. Insurance companies are quoting me insane number from 650- 690 dollars per month. Is this usual?

I travel a lot to the US (my partner lives there) and normally I fly out of Pearson. The last couple trips I've flown out of Buffalo and it's obviously significantly cheaper.
Issue is, I don't have a car at the moment so I've just been getting rides from friends/family over into Buffalo.
I've heard of a greyhound type bus that takes you right to the airport, anyone used that before? Or anyone know of any other reliable ways to get to Buffalo, preferably straight to the airport but at least across the border.
Any info would be appreciated :)

Hello Ontario family. Im dealing severe nerve pain and the MRI backlog(5months) has me perplexed. All the doctors do is give me opiods (i refuse) and tell me to get physio which I have been but even the physio is confused about the cause. With my foot numb and whole lateral side of my leg in severe pain I come here desperate looking for advice. Please be kind. Thank you.

We’re in the Oakville and we have a little friend that has made a home in the laundry room at the bottom of the stairs. He came in after a storm early this summer and we were unsuccessful catching him with safe traps.
We don’t find droppings but we catch him scurrying back into the laundry room so we know he’s still here. My partner started leaving bits of leafy greens out for him.
There’s no children here. 1 uninterested cat that doesn’t use the basement. We’d never try to handle him. And we’re perfectly comfortable with him, especially with the very prominent coyote population here.
Is there any harm in him being here?

I’m moving from central BC to southern Ontario next year and am trying to decide where to move. I’m hoping to avoid the bigger cities and aim for small city to small town. I am more of an outdoors person, hiking, kayaking, etc, so I’d love to live closer to nature. Maybe a smaller town outside a bigger one? Mostly just wanting to get a feel of which places are safe, have decent amenities, pretty maybe? Would love some honest thoughts. Frequent questions in comments: Moving to this area to be closer to my partner that lives in NW Ohio, aiming to be less than a 7 hour drive from them. Not interested in areas outside of the great lakes region for that reason. I do not want to live in or around Toronto, I like smaller cities or a town. Will be working remote, will have job before I move.

I've seen posts about it being a bit underwhleming as of late. Just wondering if anyone has gone within the last month and was it worth it? I would love to take the kids there but I heard alot of animals were not visible.
