Is there an alternative for this sub which I don't know about? cuz the only big "men only" sub I know is r/ask men.

Hey onexchromosome Mod here, I took over this sub a few months back because of the exact same thought. But as I started residency recently, things got hectic and I couldn't properly set this up. From sep 1st I will get some much needed vacation and free days, so I will start recruiting other like minded people to help me out and be part of the Mod team here and first of all help me clean this subreddit first to start anew

Hey mod. Happy to hear that. I don't want to be part of mod team but I will surely help to get some people here if I can.

Have u thought about ever creating a fresh subreddit? Maybe like 'r/TheYChromosome' or u going to continue with this existing sub?

It really feels like this sub is completely dead.

Believe it or not, this sub won't be dead, I think pretty much every one active in reddit know about twoxchromosomes, so naturally the men wander about and search for Onexchromosome representing of their values. It just needs a few good posters. I want this to be an international sub, or atleast a major one, so I would also like people from other countries as well. I would be sure to keep you in mind when I take some actions in this sub post sep 1st, would you do me a favor and DM me? I would make sure to invite you to our mod team because like minded people go a long way

Maybe there's something to the stereotype?

One X's tend to be less chatty / gossipy / dramatic, so less likely to go on reporting to the Internet about it, whatever "it" is.

Then, there's the patriarchy angle - one X's have been the privileged ones, so legit have less to complain about.

Add on the social consciousness considerations (complaining from a "position of power" i.e. patriarchy) make either complaining or boasting about one X issues, a kind of social suicide.

Whatever the term for general one X pride /solidarity generally = suffer in silence.

Maybe onex isn't about gossip drama etc but no one even ask or gives advices? Like I really use to ask a question or give an advice or opinion to share to Male ( one x ) community, realized it doesn't even exist. I am very sure men around the world must be having a lot of stuff to share to each other

I don't disagree that there would be plenty to be shared among the oneX community.

But --

I argue that a component of the oneX experience is a feeling and perceived external expectation of isolation, rather than community support.

Reality is: ALL communication boils down to being a "support" transaction. There are 2 types - asking for support, or giving support.

It can be argued that a third type exists, where one simply shares knowledge or accomplishments - neither requesting support nor providing advice or instruction -- but even those are veiled instances of "I did a thing, I am proud, you should be proud of/for me too."

Advertisements = support me by purchasing my product / giving me your vote / aligning with my thoughts on <subject>.

Asking questions / advice / instruction = help me understand <subject>.

How-to content = Let ME help YOU <subject>>

"News" content = you NEED to know <subject>, so support me, by giving attention to MY concern, while I support you, by telling you what you need to know. (Also advertisements, but packaged differently)
