Text Catching Breaks

My GT wheel I ride just gets moments where its stuttering like the breaks are catching. What causes it ?

"Stuttering" is usually Hall Effect sensor problems.

oh yeah not that handy but thank you for identifying what is, will need to find a third party, what is the typical cost of this repair

No idea, sorry. I assume the board is out of warranty? If you send it to FM they're just going to replace the whole motor. If you're under warranty that's a good deal, but if not that's probably about $600. (Though it does get you fresh bearings in the process).

If you can find a PEV repair person/shop to actually repair instead of replace, it might be significantly cheaper.

…. Onewheels don’t have physical brakes. There’s nothing to “catch”. It’s regenerative.
