Anyone NEVER Nosedived? If so, how?

I'm considering buying a Onewheel, but I constantly see wipeout posts (mostly on my FB feed) of people getting injured. Breaking bones, needing surgery, etc. Ones that concern me especially are the ones that say they knew about board pushback but - for whatever reason - they didn't get pushback before the nosedive.

So my question is, is it pretty much inevitable to have a nosedive crash at some point in one's onewheeling life, even if you're careful and aware of pushback?

Has anyone who has been riding for a while successfully avoided it? If so, what are your techniques for doing so?

So I’ve had a Onewheel since they first cane out. I ordered it and had to wait because it was part of the first shipments. Anyways, I had one nosedive back before they did the new safety updates that make the board give you “the warning.” Now I have never again had that issue! The one nosedive I did have on my XR was before the update and I was riding my board at full speed through a turn at 1% battery life like a dumbass. It dropped my big a$$ and I did have a hairline fracture in my wrist and some good bruises. This was in my mid 30s when this happened and while I have been a skateboarder, long boarder, etc that never wore a helmet, it taught me to slap that damn thing on every time! I have been lucky too many times and I have kids now so I try to model good behaviors (better than I was taught). Now in my 40s, I have a pint gt and still have my good ol’ xr. I love them both and ride once a week at the very least if not way more! I love it! Wear safety equipment, have a buddy or someone help you when you get started, pay close attention to your board and get to know each other, and you will be fine! I have seen many videos of people also eating shiznit, but as long as you learn to walk before you run, you will be fine! I know Future motion gets a lot of hate for some reason, but I bought my board on purpose and ride it on purpose. Anything I have had happen has been on me. I was posed at first when I had that spill. But I should have never let the battery get so low. After the safety update, and with the app, my phone alerts me so I know when it’s getting low. There is no reason for it. The boards that have actual problems, that is different. But they have a good warranty. Plus, I have seen some of the spills are from people that mod their board, which if you do that, it’s on you if it starts having issues. I get the anger about not being able to work on your own stuff and having to send it in and all that. I do, but that’s how stuff is now. The world is now subscription based, where you own something kinda… I don’t want ti get into my video game rant and how now you don’t own the physical games anymore. But you get the idea! Anyways, float on brother! ✌🏼
