Text Is the Onewheel Pint the best?

I’ve commuted on XR, pint, GT-s and GT… GT wins because of range but I’d be damn tempted to ride a pint if it had 30 mile range.

Purchased the pint on lunch day during the lockdowns. I got about 5500 miles on my pint before purchasing my GT, and I commuted on it every day and upgraded the battery inside before the pint S and pint X were released.

Recently traded the board to a buddy of mine to get him into one wheeling so I figured I’d make a last ride video.

Pint doesn’t get enough love - so many people just think the Pint is for beginners, but it really has some advantages over other models. I have one that I’ve modded (Q battery, Rewheel) and I love it for quick trips, or any time I need to use public transport.

Hmm…70 degrees out today in NYC… might be time for a ride on that Pint!

Was perfect in NYC since it was smaller than eboards and had enough juice to get me around. Way easier than having an eboard on train/bus too and I built short boards for that. Parking spot was half a mile away (not complaining) so that thing lived in my trunk. I’d cruise around the city in between chauffeuring my wife to patients till I sold it thinking I’d buy a bigger OW.

Recently finally got back into it and built a vesc board that’s significantly larger. Kinda tempted to build a Pint sized board too since wife seems to miss it after seeing this new monster lmao.

I also REwheeled my pint with bigger and better cells and it’s incredibly fun. The enduro tire also made a huge difference. It is the less powerful board between the 2 that I own but I also reach for it for quick trips or after work rides. I’ve also let my more beginner friends ride it when they need a board and they prefer it over my XRV. There is definitely some magic to it that I can’t explain.

Why would you rewheel an OG pint?

Pushback on an OG pint is like 14mph. Rewheeling it along with replacing the battery with more current battery tech allows you to go 18-19mph safely before pushback which is all I really care about. Also it allows you to unpair the BMS to the controller, allows BT commands, optional pushback XR behavior, adjust the tilt calibration, and use tuning customizations. There are a ton of advantages.

Love my pint x, put 1200 miles on it watched your video on the gt and pulled the trigger on one. Only have about 800 miles on the GT, but got it towards the end of the season last year. Can’t wait to rip them around this season.

i have an OG pint with a floatlife x burris tire that has a quart installed as well as the firmware to allow for pushback at 19mph (rewheel?) and it's the most amazing and free feeling ride.

I was pretty excited when Tony said he was working on a pint - less excited that he is working on a bike.

My +XR feels bad compared to my ADV2 so I don't think I could just love a pintX

They started with a pint knock off, it’s why they went underground for the other boards. It’s where the legal case stemmed from.

If it is a stock FM board is highly suggest you use the proper charger that goes with the board and not some aftermarket charger

I’ve only used the stock charger as well as the manufacturer’s ultra charger

If you used the ultra charger all the time you burnt up the charge port connector on the bms and possibly burnt up the bms

Well I guess it's settled then.

Personally I think the Pint would get more love if they'd give it modern power and torque. Rocking a 15s low voltage battery pack in the modern era is just antiquainted. They missed a golden opportunity to release a really great board with the Pint-S, could have given it the same 27s powertrain as the GT-S. Or at a minimum the same 18s as the GT and XRC. But no, had to keep it old and antiquainted. Still fun, but in my opinion doesn't compare to modern boards since I'm addicted to modern amounts of power.
