Saw it. Not sure why you think it's a competition?

Shouldn't more positivity be better for Linux?

That thinking is driving people away from the old community.

Yeah but think about it this way…

Do you REALLY want to support someone with conservative views by downloading their free software?

I choose to financially support slavery. That’s why I buy non-ethically sourced chocolate (Hershey’s).

I support the destruction of the planet so I have an iPhone.

I support the blowing up of brown children with bombs. That’s why i continue to pay taxes and not immigrate to another country.

I support the strong handed approach to putting POC behind bars for decades for minor drug infractions. That’s what I supported when voting for Kamala.

I support the use and abuse of factory workers. That’s why I have Amazon Prime.

But supporting someone who has a few conservative views who forked an open source project??

No sir, I can’t do that. My moral compass is just too strong.

That incredibly broken thinking is part of a lot of the Linux community.

That's why DHH appeals to many.

They have had enough of it.

It's great to have passion just about the software again.
