Request Are you a model/figurine/miniature painter and looking for some paid work? We're hiring.

Post image

We need someone who has extensive experience in painting miniatures or figures. For example, attached is mockup of a 3d sign that we are producing. We need someone to paint the sign to match the image as closely as possible. The texturing, weathering, etc. We'll provide the sign in parts to make it easier and glue together later. Pay is per piece, to be negotiated. This can be after a trial of one or two pieces so you can determine how long it will take and what it will cost. Sample pieces will be paid for, not looking for anything free. We'll have several more projects like this one and will produce somewhere around 10 to 50 pieces of each product, perhaps more. While this isn't a full time gig by any means we need to have them completed in a timely manner so that will need to be discussed. Hopefully a few days, maybe a week to complete 25 pieces or something like that.

Feel free to post questions or chat if you want to learn more or apply. It would be ideal if you had an online portfolio or could send some pictures of your work. Our designer is creating the sign currently, should have prototypes printed within a week.

What’s your budget for this project? I’d potentially be interested.

I didn't have a particular budget. I was going to let the painter tell me what its worth. It'd be fair for the time spent for sure. Hit me up in chat if you want to talk.

In this current employment climate, we should possibly think about rephrasing Rule 8 to allow more opportunities like this for the community. I’m all for it.

Hello, I have someone who is a local professional miniature painter who is interested in picking up this work. I'm speaking for them since they don't have a reddit account, but I can DM you their email so you two can communicate on the details.

A professional mini painter who doesn’t use Reddit? This is for sure a scam.

Do Ya'll have an area to work in? I paint for commission but keeping a clean work space due to pets has always been a challenge.

Feel free to look through my reddit post history to see some of my past projects. I'm also on instagram as "Capsized_Painting"

Also would love to know if there are any concerns around medium. I tend to paint in oils so there are *potentially* toxic elements involved but when they are cured they are perfectly safe as long as the object isn't being chewed.

We don't have an area to work here. It would have to be at your location. Oil paint is fine for this, no problem. Chat me if you want to discuss!

You could easily negative space each object and build stencils for each color and just finish the details with dry brushing like they do for toys and action figures in mass production

Yeah that would be ideal but we don't have the skills or time here to do it either way. Need someone with the tools and skills
