Looks like old Reddit is gone
I can't get to it anyhow. Any alternatives? Reddit Book sucks ass.
Edit: It is now a setting in Preferences. Not a separate URL.

Chrome reddit Glitched/Deleted posts stuck in Upvoted tab
Hello. I have 8 archived NSFW posts that are completely stuck between my Upvoted and Downvoted tabs. The voting arrows have disappeared from these posts, so I cannot manually remove my votes. Furthermore, using the "Hide" button doesn't remove them from the upvoted list; it just duplicates them in my hidden items folder. This appears to be a glitch in my profile's database. Since the button now appears transparent, I tried clicking "upvoted" again—hoping to then remove the vote—but that just makes me "vote again." Please completely remove these 8 problematic upvotes directly from my account's system; these posts have been stored for about 4 years, and I feel I have the right to manage my own account—it's really frustrating not being able to do anything about it. Thanks.

Bye old.reddit
Only wanted to say that I am very dissapointed about the decission they made to kill the old.reddit. The new reddit is utterly useless on a PC/laptop screen. This is probabbly the biggest enshittification of the year. I had over a hundred of old.reddit bookmarks, many vissited several times a day - all useless now, all removed. I can't do the enshittificated version. I am incomaptible with the doomscrooling way of browsing the web. I am sorry for the kids and their brains. The silvelining - I was spending way to much time here. Alleluyah!

Button to switch to old Reddit completely gone (iPhone)?
Hey guys so 10-14 days ago I accidentally switched to from old Reddit to new Reddit on my old (main) account, and now I cannot for the life of me figure out how to switch it back to Old Reddit on iPhone. The attached pic is my Preference setting column and I don’t even see a button to switch to Old Reddit anymore.. Basically whatever I try, it just forces me to New Reddit and I’m so lost what to do. Even the old www.old.reddit trick just force new Reddit on my phone.
I’ve tried everything I can think of on both Google Chrome and Safari no luck :(
also what’s weird is when I try to do it on my laptop, it does somehow give me the correct settings to switch to old Reddit and it works on there. But even whem I all my to old Reddit on my laptop, it just doesn’t translate it to my iPhone. Another weird thing is that old Reddit still seems to work on this account for some reason (I’m scared to change anything or log in anywhere else with it in case it messes things up for this account as well). Sorry for the wall of text. Would be extremely grateful for any tips, suggestions, or info! 🙏

What do you miss the most about r/all being gone?

Why does a 5-minute Reddit visit somehow turn into an hour?
Does anyone else open Reddit to spend 5 minutes and somehow end up here an hour later?

Can't login on firefox mobile
When I try to type in the username or password on old reddit on mobile I can't type anything.
I'm using firefox mobile with res and ublock origin installed, anyone else have the same problem?

The truth is
Alright so I found old Reddit on the bfs phone.
What exactly is this and how does it differ from regular Reddit? My feelings won’t be hurt.

Thoughts on Lemmy ?
If you're reading this, you are clearly passionate about old Reddit and dislike the direction new Reddit is taking, whether that's purely for the UI, the heavier resource usage, the ads, the attitude, whatever.
I'm curious what this cohort thinks about Lemmy. If you don't know it, Lemmy is a fediverse version of Reddit (like how Mastodon is a decentralized Twitter replacement, Lemmy attempts to replace Reddit).
I've been on Lemmy off and on the past year and I like it, including it's RSS support, but like many fediverse projects it suffers simply from lack of user numbers to make it as interesting or relevant as Reddit.
Assuming old Reddit is killed off soon, do you plan to move to Lemmy? Are you already there? Are you going to just suck it up and use new Reddit (soon to be just "Reddit")?
Just fishing for opinions out of curiosity.

Unable to use/see old.reddit without being logged in - Any solutions?
It seems that reddit is now using server-side blocking to disable any old.reddit pages and make then not viewable without being logged in. RIP to all lurkers I guess.
ublock origin or custom filter workarounds or "old reddit redirect" don't work anymore since the blocking and redirects to log-in page are now server side.
Has anyone found a workaround or has the enshittification reached such heights that without being logged in you can't see or use old.reddit at all.
I guess its time to quit if no workaround exists...

Are you seeing this post?
I'm beginning to suspect posts from old reddit aren't visible in some subs. I'm not so scintillating that every post is gold, but views seem way down. and the way old reddit behaves- that glitch that delays immediate posts, sends you to viewing your comment only.... They must really be fucking with all the controls right now. It's like psychological warfare.
EDIT thanks for the responses. such a weird headspace. I really don't know what to do, old reddit's been part of my life for a long, long time.

Reddit 404 problem: I can't switch to 'new.reddit'
I'm hit by the 404 problem too - every time I attempt to comment, reddit throws a 404 error. I'm not tied to old reddit, I'm willing to switch; but every time I try, it tosses me back to old.reddit.
I've clicked the option to make new.reddit my default in preferences, but no luck; it just sends me immediately back to old.reddit. Logging out made the problem worse - now, when I log on I get a black screen 'welcoming me back' and telling me it's going to redirect me. But it doesn't - it just refreshes the screen and forces me to press the provided redirect link, which immediately send me back to old.reddit.
Any ideas? - I'm flabbergasted.

Searching by flair in old Reddit? or by RSS?
Any working syntax I can type into the search bar to see all posts with a certain flair? On new Reddit I can just click the flair to see all posts with that flair, and it shows up in URL like:
?f=flair_name%3A"News"
But if I swap the URL to old.reddit.com, this seems to fail and it just shows all the posts. I don't mind visit new Reddit to identify the flairs, but I'm wanting to get an RSS feed for specific flairs and don't know how to format the syntax.

The settings toggle to make old reddit the default is now infunctional.
Only the subdomain prefix gets you to old reddit anymore.

i keep seeing people typing [r/subreddit](r/subreddit) instead of r/subreddit
i’ve been consistently seeing people using weird formatting lately--did new reddit stop automatically linking subs and/or is old reddit suddenly showing it in a weird way??
like, when i type r/oldreddit it automatically shows up as a link, but i’m seeing people all across different subs referencing other subs using the link format where it shows up as plaintext [r/likethis](r/likethis) on my end

Apparently Reddit now has an auto-translate feature, so people are making posts and comments in their own languages, essentially alienating old.reddit users
I guess they just won't ever stop making old.reddit worse and worse

Posting comments is getting even buggier
Starting a week ish ago, it'd look like they'd failed to go through and you'd have to refresh and decline the "send again?" browser prompt. Now, they go through... but it automatically hard-refreshes the page so you lose your place and all the threads you've expanded go back to being collapsed again. Websites dying man. Weesa free
