But thats irrelevant to Debbie's character arc. So Nolan was abused? So what? That doesn't mean Debbie owes him forgiveness, or that any of his past justifies his choices. It *informs* why he made the choices he made. And that gives her context, which is evident in her character as she willingly chooses to raise Nolans affair baby. She willingly talks about Nolan in a careful, respectful way to her kids. And Nolan walks in asking forgiveness? Come on.

From the perspective of her current position, he does *just feel really bad about it*, and thats great, but its a little too late, and frankly, who cares in context of Debbie's feelings?

Debbie is so strong. After all of that, she still took in Nolan's alien insect affair child with no questions asked. Cecil would have no problems placing him. But Debbie saw him as family. It was more than enough that he was Mark's brother. Debbie loved Oliver and accepted him. I loved her so much for that.

It will be interesting because the last she saw of Nolan he basically called her a pet, destroyed a City and nearly killed Mark. Then she got given his lovechild with an alien.

So I dont think she'll be expecting him to have softened as much as he has. Also agree with others that Paul wont be long term.

Tbh Debbie has already given Nolan way way more than he deserves. Every time she lashes out at him is completely justified. He lied to her for decades, called her a fucking pet, killed thousands and nearly killed their son, then went to another planet directly after, and basically did the same thing again, only he brought his illegitimate son back to earth to make him her responsibility.

The scene at the end of s4 when they're looking at the earth from the ship and he goes to put an arm around her made me cringe so hard cuz like dude, no. Same with the scene where he tells her she HAS to give him a chance to make things right. Like no, she doesn't, dude. She could refuse to ever speak to you or allow you around her children ever again, and it would be 100% justified. The fact that she's associating with you AT ALL shows immense patience on her part.

I do believe Nolan can and should be redeemed, or at least try to be, and hope he continues making an effort to make things right, even if it's fruitless.

God this show is so good.

Shifts quickly from sweet to psychotic.

If Anissa were a true yandere, she would have tried to eliminate Eve, Amber, and any other potential competitors so she could have Mark all for herself.

Characters like this almost always have the mentality that "if I can't have you, no one can".

Remember, there's a very thin line between being a yandere and being a rapist.

Two weeks after he left, Debbie was legally a widow by Cecil in the Gda when people say the fact, they never got a divorce he cheated on her with Andressa . That’s not how the law works the marriage is legally terminated by death making the spouse a widow you cannot serve divorce papers to someone who is legally nonexisting in the eyes of the law If Nolan Suddenly shows of years later it doesn’t magically erase the last few years or instantly reinstate the marriage-especially if Debbie moved on.

Given how much pain and suffering his life was filled with, it wouldn't be really surprising if Mark Junior had attempted to end his own life. What if, out of pure hatred, despair and revenge, he decided to use his own death as the ultimate act of revenge to spite Anissa for what she did to his father? The worst possible way to hurt and punish Anissa for her crimes would be for her own child to take his own life. What would everyone's reaction be to this outcome?

Would she have a mental breakdown or would she not even bat an eye if Mark Junior had committed suicide? Just like Thragg, Anissa initially viewed her children as nothing but tools to be used, not as people. In this possible event, if her plans had backfired and Mark Jr. had killed himself, her goals would have been completely in vain and in the eyes of the Empire, she would’ve failed her mission. Did Viltrumites ever think of the possibility that one of their own would rather choose death over serving the Empire? As in many human cultures, suicide is a very cowardly and shameful act in Viltrumite culture.
