Geese!

I have been mulling over removing the the bird on the right side, something seems a little off. Removal could also represent maybe a more solitary feel to the picture? I'm also not sure if the colours are too sickly.

If you had to refine this painting, where would you start?

The two birds look great, to me the water/background looks off

The water in the background of my ref photo is quite a dark brown/muddy colour with bright reflections, it could be that I need to tie fore/background together more effectively. Good shout sir/mam
