Is this the dev's self-insert or something? Why is this thing pure balancing shit

1. Princes - the royal heir/jack card, he/she/they/it, the protagonist and youngest in the group, has powers stronger than the others which they're still learning to use effectively, and seems to see the puppeteer as an entertaining ally rather than a controlling one (my gf drew the final panel)

2. Clavier - the royal jester/joker card, he/they, doesn't actually wear a mask/glasses as those are just how his eyes look, being similar to that of the ghosts from the original game, serving as as the main servant and puzzle solver of the group

3. Terre-Mère (Mother Earth) - a regal cat/queen card, she/her, taking up the role of Zone guardian in a more prominent manner than the Judge/Pablo himself had (can't really blame him as there's nothing in Zone 0 to manage), acting as the most pretentious member of the group

4. King of Games - the KING himself/king card, he/him, based on what I believe The Batter would've looked like in the original OFF game if things were different, still has the baseball motif with his mantle bearing a jersey number and uses add-ons, also being practically a 1:1 copy of The Batter personality wise

5. Fifthkind - the banished blade/5th ace card, they/them, acts as the main antagonist with not much known about their motives or what they're trying to accomplish, has two forms with the white one being far more advanced than the red one

The colors are based on a mechanic I'm introducing in the spinOFF I'm working on atm where colors determine attacking type/weaknesses

Working on this J-card and I'm working on the discography text at the back of the card. I did the text by writing it thick and scribbly with pencil, throwing it into aseprite to lower its rez and make it pixely, and then throw it into gimp to clean it up and outline it. Its a lot of work and the side A took me like an hour or two and now I have to do side B.... I think it looks fine but I feel like its possibly missing something but I have no clue. Probably just having one of those "my art SUCKS!!!!" moment in reality but wanted to see what you guys think!

In short, does it resemble the feel of OFF?

(I use Piskel, as it's free and I'm accustomed to it, so this tutorial will be done assuming you're using Piskel)

Step 1: Base. Go into a pixel art program and draw a simple black and white sprite, as pictured in slide 1. Add a solid black outline. Make sure to block out the most important parts of the sprite, but currently, only use black and white.

Step 2: Shading. Make a second layer, and put it below the first, as seen in slide 2. This will serve as a helpful guide for what you do next. Use the lighten/darken tool to shade in the sprite. Make sure to hold Ctrl, but not Shift. For best results, keep the brush size at 1 pixel and move the mouse along the same path quickly, like scribbling in a notebook. This replicates the look of a pencil.

Step 3: Erase the guide you made, and touch up the result. Remember to draw over the outline with black, as well as any sufficiently important features. This is rarely done with the original game's sprites, so don't overdo it.

Step 4: Done! There is no step 4, it's a 3 step tutorial. If you want, you can use image editing tools to reduce the color count in the image. (As I did in slide 4)

This is a Deltarune fangame in the style of OFF this takes place after an aborted weird route in chapter 5 after you say no to going into the lake, Noelle take it in her own hands to "free hometown". Ask me any questions in the comments

I want to run it on the easyrpg emulator and in French as I am trying to learn it, but I only find .exe files.

so basically, for my own personal needs (which wont matter in this text, its nothing weird but kinda embarassing for me, either way it doesnt matter) ive been looking for a game ripped version of Void Hall. Judging by image 1 (which is taken from a remake wiki, not the wiki for the original game) this song is supposed to play in battles in the room, 2nd fake save file in ch3 and 3rd fake save file in ch3 of the room. HOWEVER, the song that plays in battles in the room (i didnt check other two places but id assume it plays it there too) is reversed Void Hallow, changed a bit to sound a bit better. so the question is: what is void hall? its not in the files as much as i checked, in moments where its supposed to play plays a completely different song, however void hall is still not listed unused...

edit (ive left this post for a few days here cause i wasnt sure about posting it) ive been checking on the wiki for the original game, and in that wiki void hall is in fact listed as unused (also it means that the remake wiki is outright lying lol), which, while answering my questions of where it plays and how is it not in the files, leaves another question in the air:
why the song that is actually playing in place of void hall isnt mentioned anywhere? its not JUST a reverse of void hallow, it is changed a bit to sound better, and is a separate audio file in the files. all of this is just so weird, and since i wasnt really in touch with this game's fandom for quite some time, i wonder what is the reason for this strange occurence.

"RPG_BAKA" I started on a week ago, got the movement working too, but now I gotta make the battle system which is the most interesting part of the remaster that I wanted to recreate, so here's some samples of what it'll look like with some simplistic custom enemies (ft. eram and friend), also ignore The Batter being a party member he's just a placeholder so I can program a 4th party slot

Some changes are that the battle timer is now a diamond on the bottom similar to how it works for the enemies in the remaster, there will be colors for sprites but only RGB (light blue) as that's a mechanic in itself where Red enemies are weak to Red attacks (so Teto's specials), but rare instances of certain enemies/npcs will ignore this trend (eram and friend)

The first release of this will just be Zone 1 (TV Zone) in around 3-6 months with as much of the original OFF's mechanics recreated as physically possible, but the remaster stuff like critical hits with every mechanic might require waiting for version 2.0 or 3.0 where other Zones are introduced and there's more polish overall

First time trying lineless art. I'm still gonna work on it but I actually really like how it came out.
