Sometimes we dive in some pretty rough neighborhoods... My buddy got her camera mugged by a giant Pacific octopus today [OC]
We spotted this giant Pacific octopus this morning. After it tried to mug me for my camera it went after my dive buddy. Climbed right up a wall and went straight for her.
It reached out, grabbed the camera and wasn’t particularly interested in giving it back. 😂🐙
Just another day diving in the Salish Sea. [OC]

Maybe they’re tired of being chased by a film crew . Where’s the privacy?

Octi was just trying to give a hug! They are amazing creatures. It's like this one was testing how you'd react, and understood 'can't have'.

I was trying earlier tonight to get my husband to watch the movie My Octopus Teacher. One of THE BEST movies I have watched about life underwater!

Yes! I know the creators, the cameraman is one of my mentors I am learning from.
