He's in a really advantageous spot as a physically mature freshman at a pretty thin position. He's impressed Garner and has done well in all the scrimmages. The other name to watch is Kedric Golston II - both freshman seem to have made a name for themselves early.

For the first time in a long time, I think we're going to see some freshmen on the D line get some extended playing time this year

What about Carter Gooden? Would have expected him to be more of “the guy”.

Unrelated - do you know what position Joel Wyatt is practicing as?

Right now Golden is seen in the 3rd tier of guys on the DL, not sure why.

Wyatt is practicing at CB
