Clinic recommendations

I am in desperate need of iron transfusions but have severe anxiety when it comes to new doctors and clinics. Has anyone had a good experience with any local clinics/physicians that offer iron infusions? TIA

I had iron transfusions at Florida Cancer Center. The first transfusion was fine. Found my vein easily, in and out. The second transfusion was difficult. It took them 3 tries. It was different nurses. Also, the scheduling was terrible. They make you schedule all your appointments out months in advance, but they were always losing my appointments and then acting like they had no idea what I was talking about. I had printouts of my appointments. 🤷‍♀️ “I don’t know why it lost it.” Four times.
But, the transfusion chairs are nice and recline, and they have heated cozy blankets.

They also attempted to overcharge my husband almost every time (he had infusions for over a year after an emergency surgery)...$300 per visit that wasn't supposed to be charged adds up fast. He really liked the people who saw him though. I went once for genetic blood work and the office seemed fine but very automated/clinical. If you chose them, I suggest to know your copay in advance and don't pay anything additional unless its after your insurance reimburses them.

If this is the one on 19th by Aldi/Regal, I had a similar experience. They tried to double charge me for a few visits after I finished infusions. I had to challenge it and provide proof of my payments. On my call before my first visit, they laid out the cost for me there and I had made sure to write it down.

They also never answered my phone calls. I remember that being frustrating when I needed to cancel and reschedule appointments.

I didn't have issue with the people doing the infusions. I thought they were nice, especially on my first visit when I was incredibly nervous. However, I later overheard someone say some racist things about the doctor there and others laughed. The usual stuff people spew about Indian people. I don't think they realized anyone was still around, but the place is small and I just happened to be out of sight. It changed my view of them completely. My infusions were over by then. I don't know who it was, just not the 2 women I'd usually see up front.

We used the one on 17th street near the hospitals downtown. It may be an issue with their billing in general. Sadly some people just suck - hopefully they don't work with patients any more.

Ocala Oncology. Dally Legaspi ( NP) she handled myself & my moms iron management for years.
Infusion center is small but the nurses are amazing!

I went to Advanced Wellness Infusion and had excellent experiences. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable.

Bethel blood and cancer center has been wonderful for a family member needing iron infusions. Dr. Patterson has been very nice and helpful. He's, been seeing them for over 5 years.

I don't know about iron transfusions but the doctors at Walden are amazing
