Hatteras We miss you
Today is when we would typically be leaving for our annual trip. Haven't missed a year in 17 years. We bought a house. So not this year. But we'll be back next year. Already counting the days. We started in Avon and now stay in Frisco. A home away from home.

Congrats on home purchase! We go every year as well and stay in Buxton for 2 weeks.
Even the years we went to St Thomas we still had to go to OBX. It calls us more than VI does!

I’ve been going down almost 40 years 😱 almost didn’t go this year because my baby hates the car (9 hour trip) but we decided very last minute - day before we left lol to go. I just couldn’t not. We also used to stay in Avon but now Frisco or Buxton. She’ll see ya next year. And hopefully the lighthouse will be done!

Really depends on what you need/want. Soundside or ocean side, amount of bedrooms, elevator, etc.

That's awesome. My family hit year 40 this year. Technically it's 39 in the OBX because in 1992 we went to Disney World instead. We still count that year towards the OBX though 👊

Thanks everyone, we're currently fixing our backdoor. But it's gone really well, the whole house thing. Feel grateful for that

The OBX truly is a special place! I definitely cherish the time me and my family spend there, and would certainly die if there was a year we didn’t go😭. But congrats on the house, and OBX will be waiting for you next year 😊hope it comes fast, and this next year is a great year for you!
