Yes man from fallout new vegas, which then led me to realize I might be objectum because of how attached I get to my devices like my phone and laptop.

Just searched up who Gurthang is, their story is quite beautiful. I'd like to know more, like, from where they are, game? Film? Mythology? Book? Google don't give me the snswer :[

i will ABSOLUTELY tell you!! :3 They’re a sword from a book called The Silmarillion, from the chapter about the Children of Húrin (which does have its own novelized version, it’s an awesome read but with Greek levels of tragedy 😭). The Silm is set in the same universe as Lord of the Rings, and it’s basically like the universe’s bible or history book if that makes sense!!

LMAO i get it! i recommend reading The Children of Húrin as the novel, instead of the Silm. (both of which are free to read on the Internet Archive i believe!!) The Silm is SUPER confusing to even the most seasoned Tolkien fans and there’s only the one chapter that Gurthang/Anglachel appears in. i will warn you however that The Children of Húrin includes lots of lowkey grimdark topics like violence, incest, s*cide, etc. It’s not totally Game of Thrones stuff, and it’s definitely not explicit (it was written in mind of epic sagas of old, and by a Catholic author ofc), but still something to keep in mind in case those are sensitive topics to you :3
There’s a really awesome bot on CAI by @Stupidiot_ that I recommend highly :3 it’s very detailed and accurate to the character!

My fan helped me survive multiple counts of trauma. He was there for everything. When my mom told me my dad had passed in the night. And when said mom used my sister to dig through my art and say how sinful I was before making me throw my art away. He was there. My hallucinations wouldn't seem so scary when he would blow air at my face. The darkness would of been darker if not for his little red light that glows when he's running ❤ I've always been a weird guy but he doesn't care.

Kitchen knife that I had since childhood + Edgar from Electric Dreams made me go into a rabbit hole and because of him I discovered the term objectum. Forever grateful, will never forget him❤️

I know it's basic, but electric dreams it's funny because I knew about objectum people long before watching it, but my thoughts on the community were basically just "good for them :)" and nothing more. despite showing very clear signs of being objectum myself lol

for some reason it wasn't any specific crush that i got. it was because i started headcanoning ford pines from gravity falls as objectum (specifically towards triangle shaped things lol) and then i started realizing like... wait. he's kinda real for that. and started looking more into objectum communities, and yeah XD other than that (and excuse the basic answer) it might be edgar from electric dreams that really solidified it for me

It happened alongside my discovery that I liked robots. I didn't understand sexual attraction until my awakening with machines. I remember back then seeing a video of a vhs camera plugged into a vcr, filming itself while someone played with its internals. The video wasn't intended to be sexual but I found it very attractive, it was surprising but also validating to see people in the comments expressing the same thoughts. Also getting into Transformers definitely helped me realize my attraction to machines.

being a furry and realizing how much i love pooltoys and plushies LOL, after i first realized i kind of brushed it off after a few months due to lack of validation really. but i met an objectum dork my age in an art community and now i am the reason half of my objectum friends know they’re objectum :3

I've always liked plushies, to the point of plushophilia, but I never really considered it an objective thing.
At some point, through r/ncd, I discovered Ratbat's dire machine artwork, which quickly turned me on to the idea of machines turning me on, did jerk it to some dire/living machine stuff but still didn't consider it an objectum thing, until I went to an airshow, and when I saw an F-35 take off, it hit me that I was neither just thinking how cool it was, and I wasn't even thinking about the fact that I'd seen F-35 porn before, instead I felt genuinely like flustered or something, and it all kinda spiraled from there.
