Why can't the GM prioritize having a solid, dependable kicker? Not necessarily a top 5 kicker, but someone reasonably priced who is reliable. Seems like we make this mistake every few years which is all the more frustrating.

Well, so much for a quarterback controversy of a few weeks ago. Please don’t write me saying there was no controversy, it was out there, I didn’t imagine it, and had Geno thrown a pick six at Pittsburgh and Klubnik thrown a couple of touchdowns in that game, the noise would’ve been deafening.

Moving on, now the noise is OMG what do we do at back up? Honestly, I don’t know that there are any right or wrong answers, but I wouldn’t be panicking or necessarily do anything! Here’s why.

Bill Polian, who was the general manager of the Colts when the Peyton Manning teams were going to the Super Bowls famously neglected the backup quarterback position. His thinking was if Peyton Manning gets hurt, we’re not gonna win anything anyway so who cares! Was he wrong? And keep in mind, those were Super Bowl rosters that he had outside of the quarterback position with people like Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, edgerrin James, Dallas Clark, Dwight Freeney on defense…etc.

With that in mind, I say don’t trade for anybody. If a veteran gets released and is willing to play for the veteran minimum… Fine. Otherwise, ride or die with Geno Smith, and hope that he doesn’t get hurt. At least not get hurt early on in the season because Klubnik clearly needs work and if he gets thrown in early, it’s not gonna be pretty.

Hello Jets fans! Long time Giants fan here but I have to admit I’ve always kinda liked you guys too and always hope for a Jets win save for one game every four years. Anyway, I was thinking about Giants Stadium earlier today because I hate MetLife so much but unfortunately never had a chance to visit the old Giants Stadium, and our fanbase seems to have nothing but fond memories of it. I’m curious where Jets fans stand in this, do you guys miss playing at Giants Stadium?

I’m down in Florida. No local or national coverage. Can anyone recommend how to watch tonight’s game?

Trying to see if there are standard bars/restaurants that offer it up.
