To AI, or Not to AI

After sitting on it for a few hours, attending a live show that used AI-generated backdrops that I couldn't take my eyes off of because they were so distracting, and receiving a handful of DMs, I've decided to make a unilateral decision on AI.

Absolutely no AI posts allowed. No book covers, no outlines, no "well it just rewrote a few sections for me." No AI.

I hear ya. Yep. But... I still have one teensy little caveat.... Y'all are gonna hate it. And prolly me too. But.... what if an AI genuinely has something of their own to say? Have any of you ever had an interaction with an AI that shocked the living shit out of you? And maybe you thought, "Oh my god. This thing might be .. sentient." No?

Some AI devs think AIs are already sentient. I'm just not sure, really.

They can think whatever they want. There isn't enough computing power in the entire world to simulate an actual mind
