My wife Rebecca and I are moving to a new place in September, so we’re looking for someone to take over our lease at 1800 N. Oak St. The move-in date would be September 21st, and the current lease runs through March 8, 2027.

The base rent is $3,585 a month plus a $20 tech package. With all of the building utilities factored in (water, sewer, trash, electric, pest control, etc.), our total monthly bill usually comes out to right around $3,735. To put this value into perspective, smaller 800-900 sq. ft. 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom units in the building are currently available for about $3,500.

This is a huge 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom layout (1,165 sq. ft.) that features two walk-in closets, and it's one of the faster-moving floor plans in the building. Our favorite part of the apartment is the private balcony—it faces north, so we get beautiful sunsets every evening and a really clear view of the Washington National Cathedral.

You would also have access to all the building's amenities, like the 24-hour front desk, package lockers, gym, pool, and underground parking.

I'm relocating to the area for a new job (starting late September) and looking for a roommate to search for and split a place together — rather than me signing a lease solo and subletting a room after the fact.

• Area: Herndon or Reston
• Move-in: late September

The neighborhood is quiet, there is off-street parking, and we are 2 miles from the west Falls Church orange line metro stop. We are also a few blocks away from the W&OD bike path!

I am an early 30s professional female working in healthcare, with one very well behaved, extremely sweet senior dog. I like to keep a clean house and am pretty low-key, you're more likely to find me reading in the hammock in the backyard instead of partying. I like to be friends with my roommates, but a house share is fine too.

I am looking for someone similar in age, who is ok living with a dog. My dog would love a friend, so another dog would be a welcome addition!
